I remember using it late in my first ever playthrough. It was what cemented me as a combat god.
Edit: I'm stupid. Confused Trail Carbine for the Brush Gun and only realized 10 hours later. Good counterpart to the .44 magnum.
Always end up with the Sniper Rifle with a suppressor, Patience hunting rifle, and the Anti-Material Rifle.
Maybe I should expand my horizons a bit.
Well weapons like that are expensive or hard to find you need something which is still useful but costs less so that's why i find something like the trail carbine, useful in parts where your have basically no money like when you at Freeside or in thew Strip I found something like the trail carbine which can fixed to have a scope a nice use for my 44. as a sniper.
So yeah, if you like guns it's a solid weapon for general use. I wouldn't go deathclaw hunting with it though lol.
