"Come Fly With Me" Bug
I don't know if this is already known but here it goes. I've lost count count on how many New Vegas runs I've done, but one of the things that have always stuck with me is Jason Bright mentioning the more feral ghouls I kill the less of them would experience the healing glow or something... I'm paraphrasing here. So I thought: What if I tried doing this quest without killing a single feral ghoul.

One clever way the developers decided to help out with this endevor was to provide an alternate route into the Repconn Test Site, a way to sneak past all the feral ghouls and through a back door of the building. This project already failed for me when that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ "You've done a good turn for the NCR!" ranger decided to follow me all the way into the building and begin gunning down every single ghoul that got in his way... I decided maybe there would still be something in it for me if those kills weren't by hand.

Long story short, everything went as usual until I went to Old Lady Gibson to get the Thrust Control Modules. I fast-travelled back to Repconn but since I had left every ghoul alive I was immediately discovered and just made a dash through the manhole cover. I was still in danger when I made it back to Chris but then he got into the "fleeing" mode in which he can't talk to you since the game thinks there's still danger nearby. Chris then went up the same ladder I came down and the quest arrow immediately showed he teleported into Novac. I followed him and tried to talk to him but now he only had the dialogue as if I already had completed the quest and he had settled into Novac... yet the Quest log on my Pip-Boy still told me to talk to Chris about getting the rockets working. Anyone else ever seen this?

I see one line that requires him not to be in the Rocket Lab Basement, so use the console to put him back there and try talking to him.

The other line seems to check if the rockets crashed, so I don't think that's the problem. Should be the other one. Hopefully.

Well, too late to use console now since I decided to start over at an earlier saved point. Just thought it interesting since I didn't see something like this mentioned in the Fallout Wiki.

Never heard of it myself, so it must be fairly rare, but it would be nice if it were mentioned. I'm not even sure they still maintain the wiki. I'm more of a Nexus dweller, but maybe I should see about letting them know at the wiki. Or better, tell Roy and Sandbox at the YUP page so they can fix it.

I can confirm if you manage to miss the ghouls then they show up later in the platform with none fearls and will go on the great journey managed to save one in my latest playthrough by avoiding the second floor.
