Brain bug **SOLVED**

So I'm on my third run through of big MT and never encountered my brain getting stuck in a loop of two memories. (I fast forwarded the conversation and it was the same two lines over and over) is there a way to fix this aside from rolling back and trying again?

"HELIOS One coming back on-line."

Use this console command: cam
Then you can speak to your brain again and make sure you avoid asking this question: "So, what, you'd rather just stay here? Never leaving that tank of... whatever that stuff is?"

The devs accidentally put a topic link from the Helios One line back to the Jason Bright line creating an infinite loop.

thanks! i'll try this again when i go back in! Never would've thought they made a loop, thought i just had a bugged character.

Now that I think about it there may be a better way to bypass the problem.

This will make the game think you haven't powered up Helios One and should avoid having your brain say the bugged line.
setobjectivecompleted e282d 50 0

Then once your brain moves on to the next line you can set it back to how it was before.
setobjectivecompleted e282d 50 1

If you don't want to use console commands (which will disable achievements), just restart the game and don't choose that dialogue choice. If you used console commands, just load a save from before you used them.

I've played the game enough times to not care about achievements. And not using consol commands is a lost battle for me, I like to mess with NPC's too much XD

I guess the unoffical patch probably fixed this as well, and avoiding the specific dialogue option should do the trick too. Honestly, this bug is pretty ironic if you've talked with Mobious about everyone being stuck in an endless loop just before.
