Goodsprings or Powder Gangers?
Which is best to join?

I really haven't noticed much of a difference between which to support.

What kind of character are you playing? Personality-wise, not your build?

Make a hard save, then choose one. If you dont like it, reload the save and try the other one.

Powder gangers respawn and net good karma when you kill them and some minor things to sell (mainly dynamite and drugs.)

that said I'd hold off on taking a side, go do the powder ganger quests until they send you to primm, and then help the NCR take them out.

But yeah Siding with goodsprings nets you a few things early on, suit of leather armor, some dynamite, loot from the corpses.

Makes you villified with the powder gangers so you can't talk to them later to do their quests to eventually have the NCR take them out.

hmm i would say, dont help ringo yet because it will make ur trip around the mojave so much more diffucult because the powders are running eveyrwhere

Or don't choose either. Just be a revenge obsessed character and follow up on Trudy's discussion and chase the villians on to Primm. There is no single best way in this game my friend, and you are going to be making decisions all the way into the 3rd act before you will be pretty much joined to one of the four factions - none of which is perfect - by your decisions. Personally I had a lot of fun just rolling the dice at each decision point and running with it until the next decision point. Depending on the roll of the dice you might even end up being the master of the Hoover Dam without even going to Vegas.

Would it be possible to have the NCR take back the prison even if you chose to protect goodsprings? I thought if you wear powder ganger armor to the prison you could start the I Fought the Law quest even if you killed Joe Cobb. It's been a while though but I want to start a new character.

Yeah, but they're really not very tough. They typically have crap armor and very low-level weapons. It doesn't take long before they're nothing more than a convenient way to stock up on dynamite.

Jumps to what benefits him most, deceptive, believes everywhere deserves order, but not necessarily "good" order (Kinda hard for me to elaborate more, I generally don't think this kinda stuff out before starting a new character)

Alright, well if you're trying to roleplay, base your decision off of what he would choose if he was actually making the choice.

if you are villified wearing a disguise will allow you to walk past them without them shooting you.

but they will shoot you if you talk to them. ergo.

NO QUEST.

but if you are in sneak mode while killing powder gangers (HIDDEN) you won't get enough infanmy to be villified so you can still do it I guess.

just remember if you cant decide just murder them both
Yhwach Dec 19, 2016 @ 8:34am
Neither, kill them both and reap the benefits of both rewards
