Where can I find "Heavy" gear?

I have the Elite riot guard helmet and it's nearly broken. Are there any enemies in the Mojave that carry heavy helmets? I have the jury rig perk so finding repair items would be useful. I can never find any heavy helmet types.

Higher level legion armor like praetorian gear (if I remember), in lonesome road you can buy riot gear that repairs your stuff too.

Well I looked again and saw that the riot gear is medium, and I do have enough of the medium type legion armor to repair my riot gear. The helmet is what worries me, I've been trying to look for heavy type helmets and I've had no luck. I know I can spend caps to repair stuff but I prefer repairing my gear on my own.

wiki says you can repair it with head gear with jury rigging, which I usually have a pile of weightless sunglasses for that putpose. lets check in game

If I recall there is very little heavy headgear in game. the only heavy headgear is the riot headgear.

it apparently repairs with metal (Body) armor. or other heavy armors like power armor probably.

Legion hit squads are probably the most reliable source. one of them is generally in heavy armor.

Sunglasses are light-type. The elite riot gear helmet requires a heavy helmet to get repaired.

no. it required heavy ARMOR. like metal armor that the viper gunslingers carry. which Seems to be the best answer. had to hunt a bit to find some.

NOT metal Helmet.

You're right, I just figured that out when i looked in my inventory and the Elite riot helmet had the Repair option highlighted. It gave me the option to use T51-B power armor. Thanks for the help!
