Complete pacifist run mods?
im wondering if there are any mods that allow a complete pacify mode where instead of just outrunning or avoiding enemies, you can chat with them or befriend them without creating other enemies?

i want to do a 100% pacify but its currently impossible to my understanding.

This allows non-lethal takedowns: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/62541/?

I'm nigh certain people have done it, and I think modding it to make it more suited to that would kind of cheapen it, at least for me (but a lot of my enjoyment would come from the massive challenge, so bear that in mind, if for you it was only role-playing). See, the non-lethal takedowns for example, I haven't used this mod specifically, but in most games where non-lethal despatching of enemies is presented as a viable option, the mechanics are nearly identical to the lethal alternatives.

In Metal Gear Solid for example, they would reward you for not killing people, which is nice in theory, but it's not any harder than simply killing them, which means the reward shouldn't be any greater, or it should in fact be harder.

So for me, if I were going to attempt something like this, and I actually do intend to one day, the most I would do is little mods like this:

That one's called Fiends' Friend, and it allows you to use Fiend helmets as a disguise. Of course, as a pacifist, you'd have to find one on an already dead Fiend.

It goes well with this, which restores dialogue to Fiends like Nephi, Violet, and Cook-Cook, so long as you're in disguise:

There is fatigue damage already in the game, so maybe you should look up how to maximise your use of it. I've heard it can get pretty powerful. I know there's the shotgun with beanbag ammo, boxing gloves and boxing tape, and I think the cattle prod. Probably other stuff as well.

Hiya, Ladez.

i could pickpocket a fiend's helmet in theory. would another faction attack me if i were wearing the helm of another?

thanks a lot.

I'm not sure how that mod works in that regard, but feel free to test it. I know I use the mod itself and it's cool, but I so frequently either don't want the extra weight or do want to kill some fiends, that I've not done all that much with it, once I'd seen the cut dialogue.

Make sure you understand the description of the way the mod works, because it's a bit finnicky but I don't believe any of it's a glitch. If you're wearing a Fiend helmet and the Fiends on your radar are red tick marks, your disguise isn't working. Their tick marks will turn amber (or whatever colour you use) once your disguise is good.

There's probably a mod to pick-pocket people's equipped stuff, but with the mechanics as they are, you would not be able to pick a live Fiend's helmet off of them.
