Crashing before main menu is typically because of a missing master file. Did you install the patches for Spice of Life? You only need them if you're using the mod in question together with Spice of Life and you will crash if you don't have both mods installed.

I am really new to modding so I used the Nexus Mod Manager to install the main files but I will see if I might have messed up thanks!

Everything all right at the Echo station?

Here's a screenshot that may help you if you're having the problem Ladez (and I) think you're having, which is all the more likely for someone new to modding. You may want to try disabling all Spice of Life stuff and launch the game to see does it work that way. If it does, your load order or file dependencies need looking at.

Handy screenshot - I'm sure that'll help make things a bit clearer. :Upvoter:

Glad to help.
That Lightshot there is a useful programme for screenshots like that, with text/arrows and such added on the fly, and I certainly recommend it.

I uninstalled the stuff and it let me go to loading screen but then I reinstalled and nope. If it makes a difference I am using the Nexus Mod Manager for 3 of the needed mods but the last one only supports the original Fallout Mod Manager

I think I'll let Ladez handle this for the most part, as I've never used the two mod managers at once, but that sounds really unlikely, if I had to guess. I'm almost certain that whatever works in one manager works in the others, and there's a chance a mod that says otherwise is potentially old enough for its claim to have been true at one point but not now.

It's good that we've confirmed it's the Spice of Life stuff. Now, is this all from one mod page or more than one? We need to know exactly what files you're trying to launch the game with, because something's incompatible or something is missing.

Is it only this mod?

I see no mention of FOMM there.

I *think* the one file that you're enabling in FOMM isn't recognised by the others and that it's a required file for the others, but I could be completely wrong. I know that when I tried to use Mod Organiser it didn't see my NMM files and vice versa, but that may not be how FOMM and NMM work.

For now, I would try launching the game with only the main file of the Spice of Life mod, and none of the optional ones, and then one by one add the ones you want and launch each time, until you find the one that doesn't work.

Does the game give you a message when it crashes? We're probably going to need to see your load order if you can't get it to work after you try this stuff.

FOMM supposedly handles large installs and scripted FOMOD installers better. TTW for example recommends against using NMM and recommends using the FOMM Fork instead.

At this point I suggest you get FNVEdit and load it up with your current load order (don't select or deselect anything in the starting dialog.)

It will stop loading when it encounters a missing master and it will output the name of missing file as well as the file that requires it in the program log.

Wait, I never used this mod because it doesn't work with the vanilla game's body types in some capacity, and I never cared to use a body mod. Don't remember what was it now, but do you have the right body mod installed? If you're using vanilla bodies, this mod helped a bit, not that it's the same really:
