Where too find quests?
ive always seemed to speed right through FNV, doing a couple DLCS and the main quest and not many side quests, because, they are hard to find. for every npc you talk too that gives a quest, you would have already talked too 10 that didnt give anything ,and that quest might be too high level for you. im using alternate start and i sorta want to stay away from the main questline, like, going from goodsprings to primm to nipton to novac, etc. any good hints or guides to finding quests?

Explore like crazy and always talk to any NPC you can find.
If you don't mind the spoilers on a 2010 game, the Fallout wikia has an index of all quests in New Vegas: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout:_New_Vegas_quests
As for which NPCs give quests and which ones don't, I dunno, never really had this problem. Might be obvious-ish advice, but try talking to named NPCs, generic ones don't give out quests afaik.

They're not hard to find at all, just talk to people.

You'll get a lot more enjoyment out of the game if you just out for yourself. As mentioned, just explore and talk to people. You'll find lots of quests.
Well for starters, are you one of those players who skip dialogue and just look at what the map marker tells you to? Do you exhaust all speech options with NPCs? Do you look in towns or camps and try to go inside every building? If you're not looking around, then you'll probably not find anything as this game has a habit of putting most of the side quests out of plain sight, instead of giving them all to you when you find a new town.

Some quests aren't marked on the map, some don't show up on the quest list. Some only on one or the other, the occasional in neither.
