Missing Laser Pistol

So the missing laser pistol is missing. I waatched many videos and read through many forums, but its not there. the body that is supposed to be next to the rock is also not there. did i miss a step?

i talked to the gun lady, then talked to the kid, and still, no bodoy, no pistol. anyone know how to fix this?

Are you sure you went far enough. There is another body near a rock. I thought this was the one and searched the area for a while. When I went up the hill and came back down I found the correct body and the pistol.

If you really can't find it, try these console commands...

player.moveto 10a700
or
"10a700".moveto player

Note that using the console disables achievements for that session. Just restart the game once you've located it.

It's also possible the pistol is inside the rock it's supposed to rest on. You could toggle clipping, go through the rock and grab it, move back to just a bit above ground and toggle collision back on.

I don't think it is inside the rock, because the body that should be there isn't. I will try the cheat command and see if that works.

The thing is that it doesn't actually show up until you actually found the person that lost it. You first must start the quest. Then find the boy that took it out. After speaking to him you find out that the blond girl took him out to kill scorpions and only after talking to her you are able to find the pistol.

I always talked to Melissa Watkins. She is the blond running around in the computer labs.

So yeah... I tried it, It's still missing. I read on forum that u have to talk to Initiate Stanton to make it apear, but whenever I talk to him, he says he has no idea, he doesn't even tell me that he was the one to lose it. I don't know waht to do.

I've noticed that sometimes stuff just doesn't spawn right, like preplaced death bodies. Try exiting the game and reloading a save next to where the laser should be.

The laser does require you to learn its location before it will appear. It is also right next to the fast travel point, so you can use that to find it.
