Roleplayers Alternative Start Mod help

I am new to Fallout and moding and need help activating this mod. I have the mod itself and the NVSE downloded. i put them both in the game data files and nothing happened when i started the game. am i missing a step? Please help

Now you gotta go into the launcher (where you either play game, go to settings etc) and click on data files and make sure that the mod is selected .

I only see FalloutNV.esm not the Alternative Start

Did you extract the esp file into the data files? Usually the download comes in an archived file like a zip,7z, or rar, which you need to extract the files in there and put them in data files.

Its listed as a internet (7Z File). It has a internet explore logo istead of a file icon.

You need to unzip that file. A 7z is the same as a zip or rar file. If you have WinZip or winrar (Windows comes with at least one of them) you should be able to open it by right clicking and select open with and select WinZip or winrar. Otherwise download the 7z archiver from their site and use that program
