Game is unplayable after installing the newly released Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, it crashes/hangs every minute.

What is Windows 10 Creators Update? Isn't it like a thing that you get if you want to stream or record games and stuff? This game work just fine for me on Windows 10 and I don't see a need for Windows 10 Creators Update.

So why even install it? There is plenty of programs like Shadowplay which does the job very well from what I hear.

for alot of people it wasnt an option, if you had default windows 10 settings as most people did, it auto downloaded and updated without an option to decline

The game doesn't support Windows 10, so no ♥♥♥♥. Just run it in another mode, like Vista or 7.

Another reason to stay clear of Windows 10. Try NVAC, it's a mod you can download from Nexus. It enabled people to play NV in the past after a certain Win 10 update prevented them from doing so. Maybe it still works.

Since the game suddenly developed horrible freeze-lag every time it loads stuff, even just new background music, and it happened about the same time as the topic creator's problems started, I figured maybe I'm suffering from that Autumn Creator's Update issue as well. Unfortunately, when I tried running New Vegas in Windows 7 compatibility mode, it just plain wouldn't start. The launcher came up as usual, but when I clicked Play, the launcher went away and the game never started. Might have something to do with mods, but I have no idea why they'd make any difference to compatibility modes.
