MCM not working - Please help
I'm having the hardest time getting MCM to work. I've actually had it work twice before but for some reason it starts working then.

Here's what comes up when I hit escape and go to the menu:

'The mod configuration menu cannot access its menu files. Ether the files are missing, an error has occurred with the nvse plugin, or a firewall/uac is preventing access.

You may need to reinstall the mod, update your 32-bit visual c++ 2010 redistributale package, or change your firewall/uac settings.'

I have no anti-virus on my computer whatsoever other than the standard windows thing, but just in case I tried turning off windows anti-virus AND both my firewalls. Still no change.

Here is my load order BTW. Have spent hours googling and trying to find answers, can anyone help? I've tried checking and unchecking the archive invalidation thing.

GameMode=FalloutNV

FalloutNV.esm=1
DeadMoney.esm=1
HonestHearts.esm=1
OldWorldBlues.esm=1
LonesomeRoad.esm=1
GunRunnersArsenal.esm=1
ClassicPack.esm=1
MercenaryPack.esm=1
TribalPack.esm=1
CaravanPack.esm=1
YUP - Base Game + All DLC.esm=1
YUP - NPC Fixes (Base Game + All DLC).esp=1
FP gun follows crosshairs.esp=1
The Mod Configuration Menu.esp=1

Thanks! Should I just move it up 1? Can you share with me your load order?

Well you don't have to move it up just by one you can try moving it up even more
If that doesnt work again try reinstalling it from the mod manager
Shakedaddy Sep 2, 2017 @ 10:21am
I have so few mods installed that I can't move it up more than one really
Have tried installing / re-installing / deleting completely then re-downloading a million times :(

MCM has no load order requirements, loading it earlier won't help.

Using any other UI mods?
Shakedaddy Sep 2, 2017 @ 10:29am
No other UI mods installed at the moment (but I've tried installing MTUI - this is why I want MCM in the first place.)

It's really weird because the first time I installed MCM it worked fine and it even told me that "MCM has been installed" or something when I loaded up my save

Hahaha thanks man, I hope someone can too!

And you've tried installing the C++ redist from the link in the mod description?
Shakedaddy Sep 2, 2017 @ 10:40pm
I went to that link just now, downloaded it from the Microsoft website, when I tried to install it it said that I had a newer version installed and the installation cancelled.

I think that Steam forces you to install the newest C++ redist every time you install a new game, so I don't think that would be the problem. Also the fact that I have gotten MCM to work twice in the past makes me think it's not a C++ problem but some kind of "read only" problem maybe?

Just noticed that I can't install NMCs texture pack as well. Maybe it's for a related reason as MCM, maybe completey different. Here's what I got:

NMCs_Texture_Pack_For_New_Vegas - NMCs Textures NV LARGE Pack Part 1 of 3 FOR NMM // A problem occurred during install:
Access to the path 'c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\Data\Textures\architecture\barracks' is denied.
The mod was not installed. // Install //
