Why would you use up all that stuff to take them out? Just sit up in the hills nearby with a Hunting Rifle, or other type of sniping weapon, and pick them off one at a time. It's not the game's fault that you are using bad tactics.
It's the NV equivalent of toxic waste dump.
Sorry, it just seemed like you were complaining about the encounter. But to answer your question, no there isn't much there. It's a good area for XP though.
Other than that, no unique loot in that area.
I assume the deathclaws where blinded by whatever they were mining there or the critters were too old? :3

This is a reference to the protagonist of fallout 2 who killed roses deathclaw, and a reference to both first two fallout as the way everybody killed deathclaws was by shooting them in the eye as it was their only weak point.
My guess is this is a very weak reference to that and these are retired deathclaws who were pushed to live there as they weren't strong enough to survive in quarry junction with other deathclaws who probably walk all over them, and I guess they use the giant ants as easy food.
