I suppose so, but i mean fallout is set in america so yeah it would be pretty wierd because most americans in the fallout universe detested communism .
Tbh, I'd never want Bethesda to do a Marxist faction, because I guarantee you they'd give the stupid, pseudointellectual, dumbed-down version of it. It'd be completely undemocratic, the leader would be a narcissistic maniac who kills everyone, probably state capitalist, and a welfare state. Basically, it'd be America's (completely wrong) interpretation of it. The only people I'd trust to accurately represent it is Obsidian, but even with their competence, I somewhat doubt their ability to really flesh it out in a meaningful, sensible way.
and when i think of the china in fallout leading to the greatwar, it is more like an authoritarian state then what communists like to represent themselfs as.
Maybe. It does seem like the regime in charge in the Fallout universe is departure from more orthodox forms of Marxism (including ML and MLM) and communism in general. China is portrayed as being kind of imperialistic as well imo. If Bethesda wanted to go that route, it'd probably be better than anything they could produce otherwise. Still, I think that I'd rather have them just not touch Marxism at all if it's going to be inaccurately represented anyway. EDIT: It'd just perpetuate ignorance about the subject and give the pseudointellectuals more vitriol.
legion is evil. some people have said they use Slavery and raiding as a war footing position and legion promises to switch to a not-war footing position in the future.
this is a clear lie and should not be considered. proper response would be to hear Ceasar out, go get your guns and cleanse the camp.
so there are 3 endings.
NCR, House, and Oops I killed house.
So lets look at Yes Man. yes man the player character stabs everyone in the back and takes control for himself with the aid of killer robots.
I could go with This as the most morale solution as its your morals theoretically that control the region with this ending. unfortunately I don't feel a character thats unwilling to accept anyone elses power is stable.
So that leaves NCR and house.
They've both had their flaws. NCR is a large animal, bad things happen in NCR, you bring them to light though and they'll get rid of them
house does bad things, he's a bit crazy. god knows why he paved over that vault or allow cannibals to operate in his city.
Hes competant as a leader and might be best for the region, at least as a bargaining point, but he's well.... see if bad things happen in Houses regime he typically knows about them and endorses them.
which is why NCR is better than house, or at least why I can handwave away NCR's bad things and Can't Houses.
However giving NCR control over the region might not be the best for the region and might not be the best for NCR at this point. NCR is at least according to the plot over extended.
So for the good of the region and for the good of NCR it probably best serves to have an independant New Vegas Run by House standing as a buffer between them and the legion.
and that NCR would just trade with New Vegas for resources and power. until a point occurs where NCR is no longer over extended and annexes the region.
You stab House In the Back when you kill.disconnect him.
you Stab NCR in the back at the end in hoover dam when they thought you were working for NCR, but you kindly tell the general to leave (speech 100) or kill him.
According to the Wiki, that's from Fallout Extreme, which apparently isn't considered a "proper" canon source. Still, a Chinese faction in America could make sense, as Knights mentioned. It could be either made up of a few ghouls at the top, or it could be an organization that has existed in the U.S. through a few generations. Or a combination of both.
