Vaults, NCR camps, and towns all have the most content. A lot of the marked locations in New Vegas are for world building purposes, as not all of them have something to do.

Red Rock Canyon.

There is a hidden trail/canyon that goes from outside Jacobstown clear down to the west of Red Rock Canyon. There is decent loot there and a bunch of cazadores.

Around the map there are multiple brilliant shacks around the map. Each shack contains tons of loot, interesting lore and multiple dungeons to battle through.

The southeastern part of the map. What location are you referencing, exactly? and don't say dead wind cavern.

It's an unmarked location on the east bank of the Colorado River. There's a lot of really good loot there. It's directly east of the Lucky Jim Mine.
