To try making both work, you can do a clean install of the disc version with its localization files. After it installs and is working properly, rename the game files folder by tacking RU on the end of the installation folder name, and do the same for the folder in My Games and the launcher shortcut it creates on your desktop. Now install the regular version and make sure that it is working properly. Once you're sure that it is working, rename the game files folder by tacking EN onto the folder name and do the same for the one in My Games and the launcher shortcut. At this point neither version should be working because they are not in the expected folders when you try to launch (you renamed the folders, remember?). Now you can remove the EN or RU from the game files and My Games folders (depends on which version you want to play) and put it back when you're done, but still use the appropriate desktop shortcut to launch.
No guarantees that it will work with different localization versions, but it does work if you want to have both a modded and pure vanilla installation of one localization.
