Frank horrigan vs Legate Lanius

Frank Horrigan has Mk III Power-Armor, is a Supermutant that's been exposed to so much modified F.E.V. that he's grown to 12'0 and can obliterate entire cities of Mutants with ease, has a Special Minigun that almost never runs out of ammo and does insane damage, has 10+ in every SPECIAL stat, has a Giant Knife-Blade-Thing that can almost instantly kill you in one hit, and he can endure blasts from 8 turrets, 2 Mutants, 2 Enclave Soldiers, and a Tribal in Power-Armor using a Gauss Rifle.

Legatus Lanius is big, strong, has an army of humans, and has a cool sword that does far less damage than Frank Horrigans' knife.

It's not even a competition.

why were you using a gauss rifle?

you use a vindicator minigun to take horrigan down. guy is immune to criticals. (or well the critical hit table for him is pretty weak)

In fallout 2 there was a critical hit table. the perk better criticals upgrades your criticals and if you had a max critical it now became instant death.

Horrigan however had a critical hit table that didn't include the bypass defenses or instant death criticals.

however he was still vulnerable to the armor piercing abilities of the vindicator minigun. with max ranks of bonus ranged damage, bonus rate of fire and fast shot you can take off 200-400 HP with a burst of this thing. might need jet to take him down in one round.

Took him out with my bare hands once. turrets did him more damage (though he survived until the turrets all ran out of ammo as I recall.)

But if lanius doesn't have a high damage armor piercing minigun he probably will lose.

Frank.

Lanius is a bitchius boyum. Could never 1-shot Franky, but Lanius looks like the headless horseman when I'm finished with him in 1 shot. Frank is a monstrosity, cyber-beasty, peesychotik, nut-case that gets grossed out at the sight of severed toes --hilarious stuff and incredibly intimidating. Lanius can't deal with my azz and Frank has me running around like a scared lil beeyotch with a broken sling-shot.

As Red255 stated, Lanius better be packing some serious boom or shame on him.

the only problem is that the Vault Dweller has a cannon set up (Albert Cole) but Courier 6 doesn't. we'd need to pin down a cannon "Courier 6" playstyle before we could even begin to speculate on how that fight would turn out

Well, we know that the courier is a human. We can compare what he does in F:NV to what the vault dweller accomplishes.

I am guessing that the Courier grew up similiar to the Chosen one, accept that the courier was rasied in a less tribal invirment.

The Courier would probably fight equaly as well as the the chosen one, but the chosen one might be better at using a spear.

Both the courier and the chosen one were born outside of vaults and have more experience, but really I think the fight really depends on the weaponry.
