MCM help required !

so reinstalled this the other day i also reinstalled some mods but once ingame i got a note from one of the mods it said: MCM menu detected but it's an earlier version you need to update it to 1.1 or higher for it to work properly. so i deleted the MCM i had installed when to nexusmods and installed the MCM thu the mod manager, however i still get the note so i tried to google the latest version but i could'nt find it. any ideas?

Do you have project nevada installed?

If it's not active anyway, then you should just uninstall it, then reinstall MCM. If you do want project nevada, then reinstall it (PN) and AFTER, reinstall MCM. That should fix it.

Oh, and make sure you load MCM before PN.

so i tried what you said and it had no effect only thing different is now i get error msg saying: there seems to be something wrong with your instalation of project neva as there are no hud something installed something something. also i found that none of my othere mods are working either

and i just tried to bring the MCM above PN in the load order but i can neither push MCM up or PN down

Completely uninstall these mods: One HUD (if you have it installed) Unified HUD (if you have it installed) Project Nevada and MCM. Make absolutely certain that you have deleted all files from them.

Once you've uninstalled them, fresh install them in this order: One HUD (If you wish to install it) Unified HUD (If you wish to install it) Project Nevada then MCM.

Also, tell me what mod organizer you are using (FOMM, NMM, MO etc.)

ok so i uninstalled all the mods you listed then i redownloaded one hud,installed that then i redownloaded PN,intsalled that then i redownloaded MCM installed it and ran the game,got to the main menu and had no msg popups then i loaded my save and i got the same error msg i got to start with(the whole erlier version thing). ohh and i still can't move MCM up the load order

Ahhh... This is really frustrating! I was having the exact same problem as you just a few weeks ago and spent hours trying to solve it and now I can't remember anything I did...

Okay, last possible solution. If this one doesn't work, then I am unable to help you.

Uninstall your current version of one hud, then install the old version listed on the nexus. Make sure to install it manually (without a manager). Try it without reinstalling MCM at first, then (if it doesn't work) try reinstalling MCM manually (without a manager).

ok which version of one hud and how do i install it without useing a manager?

Just want to reiterate that you uninstall your current version first. That is extremely important.

Once you're sure it's gone, go to the one hud nexus page [http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44757] and click the files tab. Scroll a bit to "Old Versions" where you'll find one file sitting on its own.

Before manually installing it, try installing the older version with your manager and see if it works that way. If it doesn't, uninstall it and follow these instructions:

Instead of clicking "Download with manager" click "download manually" and save it to some temp folder or something. Doesn't matter. Once you have it, unzip it once and a fomod archive file will pop out. Unzip that fomod archive and you'll get some folders and an .esp

Put those files (not the archives you unzipped, just what came out) directly into the fallout new vegas data folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\Data)

Then you are finished.

Edit: No you're not. After that you need to uninstall then reinstall MCM in the same way you manually installed one hud (except you need the latest version of MCM).

so i click on the FOMOD file and it asks me NMM or FOMM if i say FOMM the app just crashes
and i say NMM it says : failed to acsess menus/prefabs/includes_HUDMainMenu.xml Reinstall the mod with all other applications closed, or try a manual installation(see readme).

You are supposed to unzip the FOMOD file. Right-click it and click "extract here" the same way you unzip .rar or .zip files.

so i extracted it to a folder i made on the desktop and its still a FOMOD file no folders,no .esp
