Help with Grenade Rifle Retexture
I have installed Millenia's Weapon Retexture Project and knew that some of the weapons have conflict with other mods like PN or EVE so i fixed this by adding standalone weapon retextures from millenia's.
However, when i installed the standalone grenade rifle retexture, the mercenary's grenade rifle has a really ugly looking mesh conflict in first and third person.
I have not tried deleting the meshes/textures because i am afraid of making it worse and also because i can't seem to find any register of the mercenary's grenade rifle on my game folder, and i can't solve this issue by adding a retexture of the mercenary's rifle because there is no other retexture other than millenia's, has anyone actually solved this issue with the mod??

I've been having this issue for a long time. I went digging through the textures/weapons/2handrifle folder out of curiosity and couldn't find a texture for the mercenary launcher. I'm guessing when mil made the texture pack, he didn't have the GOTY edition or whatever that came with the extra weapons, so he never made textures for it. So what I think is happening is that the game is being told to use mil's grenade launcher mesh instead of the vanilla mesh while still using the vanilla texture because there isn't a custom one. So the visual bug is the result of the game applying a vanilla texture in the absence of a custom texture to a custom mesh.

Found a fix that worked for me. Went digging around in the bsa archive for the merc pack and found the texture path for the merc's grenade rifle, then created a duplicate archive in my texture folder containing copies of mel's textures renamed to the name of the textures in the archive. Then using archive invalidation, you can tell the game to use loose files instead of the ones in the bsa archives.

1. Go to your Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Fallout New Vegas/Data/textures folder
2. create a folder called nvdlcpre4
3. create a folder within that one called weapons
4. create a folder within the weapons one you just made called 2handrifle

so you should have a new folder in your textures folder with the structure nvdlcpre4/weapons/2handrifle

5. copy over mil's 1stpersongrenaderifle and grenaderifle dds texture files from textures/weapons/2handrifle and put them in nvdlcpre4/weapons/2handrifle (that you just made)

6. rename 1stpersongrenaderifle to 1stpersongrenaderiflemerc (add merc to the end of the original)
7. rename grenaderifle to grenaderiflemerc

Make sure that these paths and dds files are named correctly

8, To make the game actually use these textures, you'll need to toggle off and on archive invalidation. In NMM, go to the tools tab at the top of the window and go to archive invalidation at the bottom of the drop down menu. Click on the box so that it's unchecked and then click it again so that it's checked. The mercenary's grenade rifle should now be using mil's textures instead of trying to apply the vanilla texture to mil's mesh.
