There was a Fallout 4?
Hasn't been decided yet. Being honest, I hope that there isn't an actual canon ending, intead going for a more one-choice-fits-all ending. Lets assume that, if they release a Fallout game set near the pacific, they would have the events of this new game be based at least thirty years after the events of Fallout 4. This gives us a breathing room of about thirty-six years, allowing for plot filler to be put into place in order to show that, no matter what happened after the second battle of Hoover Dam, such and such would have taken place in any case of the story.

I thought independent Vegas was canon?

Fallouut four raped the lore. Just ignore it in terms of lore

I mainly care about the NCR because i really got invested with Tandi and Aradesh in Fallout 1 and 2, i always tough deomocracy was the way to go in the Mojave

The next REAL Fallout will take place in 2269. New Vegas would not have happened yet.

Fallout 4 is kinda messed up as far as lore. I picked up on that comment and other comments about the history as well, but as many people will say...Fallout 4 doesn't know what it wants to do with lore heh. Oh well!

Fallout 4 is more like Elder Scrolls: Fallout 4 with some Minecraft thrown in for market trolling.
Have not and will not waste my time on it --don't even want a cracked copy.

Following somewhat close to the canon of Fallout all the way up to Tactics it would seem that No Gods No Masters might be the actual outcome. Tactics had a mad computational system that was hacked/damaged like a crazy Yes Man --that is as much as I will tell you and even this much may be spoilers.

Hope this sheds a bit more light on the matter.

Take care.

The NCR are too imperialistic for me. Leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

I think that in the end, the NCR would beat the legion. Superior tech, and a couple other things. Also doesn't Caesar have cancer? He can't live forever and when he dies where is the loyalty going to go? He did everything in less then one lifespan and so the places he's taken over still remember the time before. There is no real sense of most of them feeling they are an integral part of the legion, more like assimilated from their own culture. The NCR will have little trouble replacing kimball if he dies or leaves office. The same can't be said for Caesar. Time is not on his side. Even if they did take Hoover dam and even went into NCR territory, they would be in a predicament. They would need all their troops to be able to take it over, and I am willing to say that some people in the east might take that as an opportunity to stop the Legions rule In their homeland.

None --- it is left for the player to decide. So far as the series overall canon, it's most probable the winner would be neither Mr House nor the NCR nor the Legion and that an Independent Vegas (Yes Man) wins in the end as detailed in the game's No Gods No Masters.

*Truth
FO4 is actually a game that has new lore because it's bethesda don't care enough to research
They re-wrote how the power armours work, when they were used originally and past events
So yeah, bethesda writing = potatoes

Don't get me ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ started on the "lore" in fallout4, they shoved a deathclaw hand up the lore's ass. I tend to ignore fallout 4, as far as lore goes, between power armor, the whole jet in a pre-war vault, and everything else, I don't ♥♥♥♥ with that ♥♥♥♥.
