How big is this game?
I'm looking to get into this franchise, but I don't want to plunk down cash on rinky-dink games you can beat in 10 hours. How big is it map/level wise? Is it comporable to an Elder Scrolls game or smaller? Is the weapon selection good?

If you spend time exploring and doing quests it would be over 10 hours I'm guessing.

Definitely comparable. The map itself takes about 10-15 minutes to get across from one end to the other, but there's so much stuff in between it feels much larger. I would reccomend this game to everyone who's old enough to appreciate it. The weapon selection is great, more weapons than Fallout 3/4. 9/10 Beautiful game.

Do you like exploring and side quest if no then the main quest line is about 5-6 hours. If you know what your doing you can half that with ease.

If you have the patience to mod it, you'll spend even more time in the game, and since you're new to the series, you won't know what's going on, so you won't know the easy paths to take and whatnot.

Edit: You have Oblivion. If you enjoyed Oblivion, then you'll enjoy this game, maybe even more so.

A playthrough with dlc typically takes me about 90 to 130 hours . Ive done like 12 plays through this game. The time varies on type of character, choices made, factions sided wuth. Some story faction play through are shorter than others. More quests with some factions than others, etc.

Game plays out just like an elder scrolls game, but with more rpg elements and less mindless exploring. The emphasis on this game is quest and quest choices and dialogue choices rather than exploring like elder scrolls (though exploring is great still but it doesn't have that theme park feel of skyrim or fallout 4)

Finished it in 13 hours, but get Nexus mod manager it gives you some stuff to do and better graphic overhaul

Then you miss out on all the exploring and sidequests that are way more fun than the main story

People are saying its 10 hours thats if your speed running that ♥♥♥♥ bro. If you take your time like most people do in a rpg, and talk to npc's read the text do all the side quests, and dlc and different main quest endings this game is easily a 30 hour mabye more if you go slow. But yeah if your speed running and not doing eveyrthing just to beat the game like a cod story then maybe 10 hours.

The map is kind of small but there is so much to do and different ways to complete everything

Well it worth the money and if you ever get bored of the normal just use nexus mods
