; Standard taunts.
; 33 - Stop slinging resources. If slinging is requested early and is immediately canceled it may mess up the strategy.
; 38 - Sling Resources. Human player only, stops any unit production except for civilian units.
; 100 - Forbids the AI to resign.
; 101 - Cancels the 100 taunt.
; 200 - Enables resource cheats - only works on 'hardest' difficulty.
; 222 - Same as 31, but more likely to help (only taunt this if you really need it).
; 230 - Tells the AI to go for a monk rush (taunt only works on civs who have good monks).
; 231-238 - Chat 230+[enemy player number] to make the AI target this enemy for 10 minutes.
; 250 - Chats information about the current strategy.
So relevant for you: 31 - or if it's really really urgent - 222.
I'm pretty sure Promiskuitive is the AI author :)
And howcome these commands are not shown ingame, this is the first time i have seen these. I can't count how many times i have been under attack from the ai without any help. In one particular game, my village got half destroyed by the Persians rushing with knights. I was lucky the ai retreated. I managed to steal victory in that match but only just.
So 31 calls the ai to help?
Also does the ping work on ai? I have always used it but never noticed any difference.
Yes. :)
The standard taunts (1-42) are shown in the chat menu, to open that click the trumpet symbol in the top right of the screen (while playing).
The AI can't directly help you nor detect your flares (due to limitations in the AI engine), but 31 will ask it to attack - it will still evaluate if it's reasonable to attack or just suicidal first (if you taunt 222 instead it will be a bit more reckless).
I have never used the taunts. As I play mainly in SP and have memory issues I tend to avoid taunts. However, some of those look useful and might make the games more interesting when I want the AI to react.... so.... would you consider putting all the taunts and any specific AI related tips in a Guide?
I'd certainly subscribe and I suspect a few of us could then refer people to it when needed. :)
It doesn't have any specific AI related tips though
Do that, send the number and then it should work! :)
What firing delay do you mean?
If i'm not wrong it should be possible to do that in a mod, but then you couldn't play multiplayer with that except if everyone you played with used this mod. If it's possible to do with a mod then it's safe for singleplayer games though!
Dunno if you can chat this to enemies though and actually have it work...
