Campaign's length?
Self explanatory.
I just want to know how long is every campaign in the base game.
I've just beat the William Wallace tutorial in 2h.

How long are the other campaigns?

Thank you

(I know that time will vary depending on the player, but I just want a general idea)

Campaign length varies wildly as they dont have the same amount of scenarios in them, as well as each scenario can be beaten extremely fast (by a pro player), while for a normal or bad player it would take much longer. Id say in general, 30 minutes - 2+ hours per scenario, with 4-6ish scenarios per campaign. Best I can give you, because the tutorial is just that and has no real bearing on skill.

I'd say generally 5-10 hours for a normal campaign for an average player, however if you're a beginner, you will need more than a day. But, I can't believe you really need 2 hours for William Wallace; maybe on the first run (when you don't know the game), but I am sure you can do it much faster if you try again. 2 hours is really long for William Wallace. It should be like a 30 minute tutorial (I haven't stopped the time, but I remember that only the last mission takes a bit of time, the others can be finished in a few minutes).

Well, I know I'm not an expert, but I consider I'm not the worst world player...
I saw 2 walkthrough on Youtube where they finish the tutorial in an hour and a half and the other a bit more...: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iprbLnfoc-o&list=PLg_wCqDtwN-dSr4sohXYkhsUa2p4a1Asw & https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMQ5yX8RecA&list=PL1861865EAA40C9BF

Well okay, then I remembered it wrongly. I played the tutorial almost 20 years ago. You should probably do Joan d'Arc next. The other campaigns are a bit longer and more difficult (although... maybe I even remember that wrongly ;D). I only have a fresh memory of the new campaigns of the new DLCs. They are longer and more difficult than the original campaigns.

Thank you!
Yes. I'll start with "Juana de Arco" (in spanish) and let's see if I'm a bad strategist xD

An observation I have made is that newer players tend to spend a lot longer on scenarios than they need to because they don't play aggressively enough. They wall off and play a grinding attrition game which, depending on the scenario, they are predisposed to lose (for example, scenarios where they attempt to do this against multiple enemies or enemies with more resources). Instead, they should try to destroy or at least gravely weaken one of their enemy quickly, should constantly raid enemy economies, and should look ahead to taking control of precious resource areas (like gold mines).

Campaign lengths will vary. This depends on difficulty setting, playing speed, and style of scenarios. Something like B&D will reliably take 30-40 min if the players do a "proper" build up + attack. Whereas some FF scenarios can be over in 15-20 minutes, especially if players don't explore.

Then there's the Battles of the Forgotten, that are like 90 min/ scen minimum, but can take multiple tries to learn and play right.

Now I recently discovered that you can speed up the game by pressing the "+" button...
I'm a noob :steamhappy:

Speeding up the game is a way to make it go faster but can affect your gameplay, but i play is the fastest speed so :v

All campaigns, including all expansions, can take anywhere from 30 to 120 hours, depending on the difficulty you play on, your standard play style, and the amount of scenario-breaking glitches that force you to reset in the Forgotten levels.

Watching a video of someone playing for the 10th time does not tell you anything about how long it takes for you.

When you play a mission for the first time you don't know anything about it. Unless you do the Marco Polo of course. Oh and you'll may fail.

These numbers make no sense to me. There are around 20 campaigns plus a little under 20 single scenarios; now if you claim you can do all of that in 30 hours, that's basically 1 hour per campaign and half an hour for a single scenario, which doesn't make any sense, especially the one hour for a whole campaign, unless you've specialized yourself on insane speed runs.

120 hours would still be impressive, with an average of 4 hours per campaign and 2 per scenario.

Giving a new player such unrealistic estimates doesn't help him in any way.

Oh and you'll may fail.
That also. New players literally lose hours re-playing missions, because they realize their approach doesn't work at all and they need to try something else. This barely happens to good players, making the gap in playtime even bigger.

I'd say for a new player 1 day per campaign (on reduced difficulty) is a nice goal to be set.

Took me 4.5 hour just on the barbarossa 3 mission alone, those are brutal lol. Had no way to advance over the water and kept defending from the river guard. Never spent so much time on a single mission may it be starcraft or warcraft those were like 1 or 2 hour max.
