Actually the original Age of Kings got ported to PS2. Wasn't much of succes though and it never even got the conquerors expansion.
I used to play that on an old Windows XP dude. But ♥♥♥♥ the PC master race I get it hardware wise PC wins. But you have to admit. if you can play it on the go with the Switch AoE it would fun and you can spend a lot more hours on it in portable mode rather then on a PC where it remains in one place at HOME!
OK so you have a gaming laptop but a gaming laptop still isn't as comfortable as playing on the Nintendo Switch. You have to bring so many cables with you and accessories. The Switch all you need is your Switch and power bank, pro controller or just the Joycons. Anything extra is all you.
I watched a video from Reviewtechusa where he compared the portability of a laptop to the Nintendo Switch. Yes the laptop is more powerful but not as portable as the Switch.
but aoe2 runs on really low hardware, remember those old dualcore intel atom 1.6ghz? played alot of aoe2 on one of those xD it ran fluid even when i plugged it into a 900p display back at home and was just as portable with only a wireless mouse being added for comfort
today with really thin laptops with more power than that craptop back then... at least for aoe2 thats no point as you can run it on laptops just as or even more portable than a switch :P
