Palisade walls and AI Bug
The AI will not attack Palisade walls or gates most of the time. If you make a fort of the mention walls the AI will not attack them so you can hold out in there tell you let them in, if you wall in an AI with the mentioned walls they will make no attack on them tell they have tried every other methiod of escape.

This allows some cheap ways to defeat the AI, and thus breaks the game play with AI. In one match a new player and I were fighting two AI, the AI defeated the new player early on and then came for me with an army much larger than mine but I had buit a palisade wall protecting the entrance to my town. The two AI sent their armies up to my wall where they than just stopped and waited for me to open the gate, this continued for some time as I waited for an attack on my wall which never came.

Has anyone else encountered this bug, if so it must be fixed.

I have never seen this behavior. Version 4.7? Map and Difficulty settings? Does it happen with all palisade walls or only palisade walls with palisade gates?

There are many ways to exploit the AIs, none of them are fool proof.

They've gone out of their way to make sure all of my palisades were destroyed one time after most of my base was destroyed.

So there seems to be some thing really strange happening if it does not happen for some when it happens for others.

Typically the AI will try to find a hole to go through, before it decides to break your wall. You can exploit this by enclosing everything except for a choke point hole with lots of archers and towers, siege etc.

Was this AI or Original AI you are using? Original AI lacks the ability the ability to target walls, I believe.

It was 'AI'. I have conducted some tests: if the AI has no town center they never attack Palisade walls, if the AI has a town center they will attack them some times but not always (oddly in one test there was three forts made of Palisades the AI attack two of them but the third they just tried to walk into it which lead them just standing around, the fort was manned.
