Error 0x00040004 when joining any server, joining via launcher

Can a mod give an answer to this? Been having this issue for over a year, posted on BI forums and they said it was addressed in 1.20 but it wasn't.

yeah i'm a dayz vet with over 600 hours logged. decided to come back to this game after a long hiatus and all i've been getting are 0x00040004 errors, kicked from the server for "lost connection." i've tried the usual verify cache integrity, delete/install battleye, delete all dayz files in my documents, making sure appropriate ports weren't blocked, no firewall/antivirus conflict, run in admin mode, making sure my character name isn't "survivor," to no avail. the only temporary solution i've found was to reinstall the game, but i'm not gonna reinstall the d@mn game every time i want to play. i have no problem running any other multiplayer game on my rig.

the problem may be an unstable connection, server settings that crashes you when you have a ping 999 even for 1 second, that's how official servers and most of the modded servers are set, in my case it's the fault of the mobile internet and the airport nearby which interferes with the connection

That's a timeout error. If you're using "DZSA Launcher" Click "Load" instead of play in the launcher. Then once you load into the main menu of DayZ click "Play" at the bottom. BOOM error fixed! (If you get it again keep trying with this method, my tower never has issues but my laptop will get that error a lot and doing this method lets me join in)

When having this problem i was using the internet via my wifi card, i also tried turning off my firewall i still got this error. i enabled my ethernet card and was able to connect straight away to the server with no problems.. Hope this is helpful to someone...
