Game only opens in the background

I have uninstalled the game 3 times, deleted the local files, deleted and reinstalled battleye, deleted and reinstalled my graphics drivers and still this freaking game opens in the background and will never, open, the launcher will open just fine, it goes through the process like normal, but the game just opens in the background, cant hear it, cant interact with it and its not just loading (unless it takes this game 2 hours to open on a mid-high 2k gaming pc and its on a ssd) im honestly just confused and really just want to play the new map, never had this problem before the new update so maybe im just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ until a patch or smthn idk....

edit: mfw im gonna have to go Yar Har this freaking game so i can actually play it.

Windows Defender maybe? Instruct it to ignore DayZ.

well, this is the problem sometimes I have but after a few second I get a notification that "hey! DayZ is still alive" when I alt+tab or click on game icon on quick launch bar the game appears on my screen (not in fullscreen though) after the game load into main menu, I alt+enter to become fullscreen

i tried exempting it from windows defender..... still no fix :(

Try launching it in windowed mode.. and then change it once in game.

Tried to launch in bulldozer with no mods then turn it off?
open the official launcher, turn off all mods, go parameters, all parameters, turn on bulldozer, open game.
if it opens exit the game, go back to launcher and turn bulldozer off. try it again.

This may be a solution for you


OK in that case, delete the game, close steam, delete all battleye files located in the following loctions:
C:\users\(your username)\appdata\local\dayz\
and
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\BattlEye\

(might be easier just to delete the folders)
Now re open steam as an administrator and re download and install dayz, it could be a battleye problem.

yeah thats actually exactly what i did, fixed nothing..... im actually at a loss at why this is happening, thank you tho

so i reinstalled a 4th time and now it works....... im not mad but why...... whatever ill take it, thanks guys
