BTW, i am LV100 with 45VIG, so probably overlevelled as ♥♥♥♥, and also bad and lazy as ♥♥♥♥, in a dire need to brush away this boss and progress to the next area.

I spammed A + L1 with dual colossal swords and it was easier, faster and more fun than what you did. If you have to insist that you played "Smarter" then I have to wonder how intelligent it is to deny yourself engagement when playing a video game, an activity solely for the purpose of engaging you.

I had fun erasing this boss from my playthrough, your entire argument is invalid.

Just as fun as parrying Bell Bearing Hunter with a shoddy buckler to death, because nothing else works against him.

If you enjoy getting wrecked 100 times by going pure melee against a boss asking to be cheesed by arrows, it's not my fault.

I beat him in one try because he is not difficult. I can 100% factually say the only enjoyment you gained from beating it with your strategy is the self satisfaction you're supplying yourself from imagining you're very intelligent, which is also what led you to make this thread patting yourself on the back for cheesing something that wasn't even worth cheesing because it's so easy. Popping it with a bow and watching a number tick down is not interesting at all. It's like buying a visual novel and then skipping all the dialogue, why'd you bother purchasing it at all?

I know you already admitted to being bad at the game, but it goes beyond that. You are claiming that everyone must be as bad as you to make yourself feel better. It simply isn't true. Even a fairly average player would be able to quickly realise that most of Astel's attack will not connect at all if you just get under him. He poses legitimately less threat than the standard dog enemy you find everywhere.

Just gotta have 40 Vitality and strong armor on. This is in NG+ too. Before NG+ I just used some random katana.

And yes, i i did beat the boss in mere minutes, zero effort, i got to the next area, i also cheesed Dragon Adula with rot breath (guess what? i'm an arcane/faith dragon build), advanced Ranni's quest once again, died 10 times to radagon wolf, died another 10 times to black-knife chief until i cheesed him with magic breath and running like a chicken.

Astel is just a pain in the ass cus AoE's and instagib grab.
I simply chucked rocks at his head until he stopped being a ♥♥♥♥.
When a boss starts acting a ♥♥♥♥, throw rocks and fireballs at them until they stop. Rocks ideally because they're heavy and they hurt more.

Nope, just here to tell you that you're wrong. You were so afraid of a boss that you resorted to what is essentially a skip button, probably without even bothering to fight it properly first. Then you claimed that people fighting it in melee would die 100 times and that is was unbeatable without your strategy. And you claim to have had fun. Why did you say one shot though?

When playing a boss, if you one shot the boss, it means you killed it on the first attempt. If the boss one-shot's you, that means it has a OHKO (One Hit Knock Out)
