Point being, Jedi FO hasn't told me I can't do it. Is that not why we play.
100% agree! i'm searching for my way out for 2hrs now. this is insane
But yeah... I wish they had made the game more metroidvania and DS1-ish instead of DS2 or even 3. 3's world isn't as bad as 2's, especially with fast travelling, but neither top the first's intricate verticality. The linearity of the levels is one of my main gripes with this game and I truly hope that the sequel is a lot more open. I can let go of the set pieces for more intricate maps that wrap around themselves.
I actually think the map is really good, my only issue is you can't zoom out that much. I look for key areas on the map: Yellow bits are unexplored, green bits are things I can use my skills on that I haven't yet and red is no go. When I land in a new area with lots going on, once I clear it out I open up my holo map and have a look at the structure of the place. It even clearly defines running walls and rails to help you navigate or approach a particular fight.
I think the main issue with the map is when you first look at it, it really is quite loud, I would advise spending some time looking over the map. The map is actually so good for me that when I look at the holo version I can picture the real 3D world in my head, even remembering which secrets I found, where and how. It quite possibly is one of the secretly best maps in the business.
I actually thought Kashyyyk was a lot better as you could take rides on the way back without having to walk yourself, but Zeffo really gave me a headache when I was playing as I didn't have double jump at the time
