gREAT!

Maybe I needed to dive in more and unlock more permanent upgrades, but I didn't like how a Curse could totally ruin a build without input from me. I like the balancing act of the system, I didn't like feeling like my earlier efforts and choices were now pointless and my run was effectively ruined.

I know roguelites are all about adapting, but this felt more like I was starting a new run in the middle of one and I really didn't like it. I think the combat and systems are fun, but I just hated feeling like I was robbed in the middle of a session I was deep into.

I also don't like the Aztec-inspired dungeon/enemies/etc. It just doesn't sit right with me.

Aside from the curse system, this game is a lackluster compared to anything the genre offers.

- Weapons lack balance (there are only few superior options if you want to maximize efficiency).
- Stamina system sucks and you don't have control over it (why increasing stamina points is not an option?).
- Easy boss fights (like every boss has 3 sets of moves that are easily readable, no phases nor variations. The first time you encounter a boss your chance of winning is higher than losing).
- Soundtracks are mediocre at best.
- No story or any other source of motivation to finish the game.

There are tons of more enjoyable roguelites that worth your time and money.. don't waste it on this.
