Thank you very much

None.
The best way to start the game is to go in blind, choose the first difficulty that crosses your mind, pick a character that looks good to you, and just play.
I'll give you my experience with it.
During the first 5 or so hours with the game, I died. A lot. I was questioning "WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME GAME!!??" almost constantly. I nearly put PZ down for good. However, then I started to figure it out, and hours 6-10 were some of the most rewarding hours I've put in any title.
After about 10 hours, you can go into Custom Sandbox and adjust things how you like. Think there should be more melee weapons? Increase that amount to Common or even Abundant, even if it's just to learn where they spawn so you can more readily find them in the future. Don't like the "bitten and die" rule this game has? Disable it in the settings, so you have to be pulled down.
More or less, if you're a beginner, just play the game vanilla, and look things up as you discover about them. Wait, why was there a loud *click* and now my refrigerator doesn't work? Now what? How do I get electricity? And there's no water coming from any sink/toilet/bath anymore? Now how do I get water? Either figure them out on your own (which is very rewarding to do, I felt so smart when I first took a pot and placed it outside to gather rainwater for the first time), or look them up online. Then you find out about the AEBS and you go, "Wait, what do you mean there's a radio station that constantly broadcasts and lets you know when things happen tomorrow, like weather or chopper events or the shutoffs? Was that always in the game or am I dumb?"
After you get used to vanilla, you'll start dialing up the difficulty on your own, and eventually know what mods you'll want personally and look for them yourself.

Thank you for your message! I've read it all and I'll take it with me.

Maybe I should've rephrashe the title. Mods that will make the game more comfortable to play. Few years ago when I played my last game of PZ I had a mod that made my inventory more clean.

Thank you very much!

Sounds spooky. I already have nightmare from the jumpscare sound when the game reveals a zombie
as much as people say you should go in with no mods i find certain mods like moodle descriptions and trait descriptions incredibly helpful and sometimes necessary for new players.

Here's a quick list of what I often use:
Become Desensitized
-After killing 500-2000 zombies your character becomes desensitized and no longer panics at zombie encounters.

Better Exercises
-A 2,5x multiplier for exercise XP, making it actually possible to level Fitness and Strength.

Better Gun Jam
-PZ's gun jamming code is ridonculously bad. This fixes it.

Boredom Tweaks
-A whole lot of fixes to the silly Boredom system. You won't gain Boredom if your character is performing ANY timed actions indoors.

Cat's Reading Mod
-Reading skill and recipe books is way faster, you can walk while reading, and sitting down increases reading speed even more.

Common Sense
-Braven's greatest mod ever, and that's saying a LOT. Adds a whole bunch of... Common sense stuff. You can pry doors, windows, car doors, trunks, garage doors, etc with crowbars, you can use screwdrivers or knives to open canned food, and a lot more.

Doggy's Hunting Mod
-Super nifty remade hunting mod for late game stuff. It even figured out that I was using a suppressor on my gun from a different mod, unlike its predecessors.

Generator Range
-A clear visual representation of the working and noise range of your gennies. Very useful when you need to use several.

Generator Time Remaining
-A pretty accurate info panel on gennies to let you know when you absolutely have to refuel them.

Mod Options
-Lots of mods use this one to allow ingame tweaks to settings, such as Better Gun Jam.

More Simple Traits
-A lot of new not overpowered Traits to choose from. Want to have a basic understanding of guns without picking Police Officer or Veteran? Well here ya go.

Proximity Inventory
-Absolutely essential for dismantling watches and looting for specific clothing items, cigarettes, etc off zombie corpses.

Pumps Have Propane
-Gas pumps have propane pumps as well. Metalworking was never easier.

Simple Status
-A nice little toolbar you can edit for your own liking. I always disable the bars for stuff like Boredom, Anxiety, Panic, Weight, etc, so it's just a handful of the important bars showing up like Endurance, Hunger, Calories.

Change Sandbox Options
-With this one you can change the sandbox settings of a save game, instead of having to start a new one.

I'll throw in my own Rain's Tools & Blades here as well. It adds three belt-worn machetes, two hatchets, a fiberglass-handle axe, a different type of sledgehammer, a katana variant, two variants of wakizashi, and most importantly - a swiss army knife! :D You can toss a whole bunch of individual little tools when you find a swiss. Screwdriver, can opener, scissors, knife for butchering/removing bushes, etc.

Thank you very much my man!

Boredom tweaks

Common sense
Simple Status
and your own mod Rain's tools & blades I'm gonna add for sure!

Again , thank you so much for writing this down.

here's my QoL list from a few years ago - still relevant - and only a few overlaps with the previous (will be in 3 posts, since it will only allow 10 workshop links per post):

(EDITED TO ADD SOME DESCRIPTIONS AND GROUP SOME MODS TOGETHER)

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2694448564
arguably the most important mod, which should be enabled in the top level of the game, rather than many other mods, that can be enabled for each save - adds additional option for the mod menu that make it much more user friendly

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2169435993
this one is required by many other mods, and adds in game options tabs for any loaded mod that uses it once the save is loaded

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2071347174
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2544353492
i use these two as a set - from the literature mod i use the "Flag as Seen" module - which is actually called "readOnePage" on the filename - which lets you read the first page of any book that is too high a level for you to currently read - and then shows as having read 1 page

this then pairs nicely with the second mod, that adds symbols to books and magazines to tell you if you have read any of them, or read all of them - so with both it means you can pick up books that are too high level for you and store them somewhere (after reading the first page), and you will not have to keep track of which volumes of each set you have

you can also read a little of books that are at your level, without finishing them, just to keep track that you have them

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2846803814
am including my pencil eraser mod instead of the BIC 4 color pen, since that one can have some issues with distribution lists - and i use this one just so i only need a pencil in order to erase map markings

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2710167561
nice little mod that adds a legend to the map to remind you what the colors mean

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2701170568
lots of extra symbols you can add to the map to mark points of interest

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2744101803
let's you transcribe your map markings to a piece of paper and store them, so your future characters can find them and add them to their map

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2839002895
since we are in the map section, my little mod here makes each of the Louisville maps be called something a little more useful than "Louisville Map" :-)

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2014706016
nice little tweak to the character menu so you can randomise the name

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2754567348
one of the most awesome QoL mods around - adds slots to bags so that you can store loads of stuff on them - looks cool - give you quick access to things - and uses some weight reduction algorithms (but i think not as much as if the thing is stored inside the bag)

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2786499395
does what it says, allows you to wear two handed weapons in various positions, adding an extra slot

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2659216714
exactly what it says - super useful :-)

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2688884240
for emergencies :-)

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2714848168
useful camping gear - gets a slot on Noir's backpacks

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2616986064
does what it says, very useful

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2725360009
as RainMaker said, some great improvement to the boredom system, that otherwise has you getting bored even when you are doing stuff

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2137687308
cool realism mod - especially if you play with a mod that does not give you a belt at the start - since if pants are too big they will fall down without one :-)

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2629074154
some of this has been added to the vanilla game - but i think the mod may still do it better - if it does not conflict (i will update if it does) - but allows you to consolidate all stackable resources

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2138726101
increase tailoring experience by ripping up denim and leather clothes

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1955995443
does what it says - essential :-)

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2696083206
your clothes will get wet a lot - this is very useful

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1911132112
absolutely amazing mod for roleplaying and adventure - has lots of options and scenarios - awesome :-)

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1919584194
hardcore start - no belt - fun times ;-)
