You wouldn't even have to add some kind of suppressor effect to the in-game stats for this to make sense. The M10 and M11 had a LOT of 'fake suppressors' on the market, that gave you something to hold on to in front but did nothing to quiet it. One could just apply the real suppressor effect/stats once that upgrade is truly attached.
Is this something that can be done fairly easily? If so, I'd greatly appreciate it as this is THE weapon I most wanted to see in XCom 2!
It's fairly easy to do, I've gotta recompile the script.
I just hope that someone makes a one hand animation for weapons soon.
