The ending was extremely satisfying, good job, but very easy really

wow, I felt so betrayed at the end when I did not have enough momentum. very good scaffolding throughout the last 3 levels

too es, but think there is solution without pixelhuntung while flight (

Semi-blindrun (at least 4 years since I've played, took a break starting from late 2019)
Probably the most interesting/hardest of the main No Elements series, besides maybe Potential Energy. You'll see the areas where I had to think about what to do in the above playthrough. I'm not so hot on the tough angle at the end, if that's even the intended solution, but still a great chamber all in all considering the "no elements" constraint. First time I played this I think I was stuck for a while.

Difficulty: 5.5/10
Enjoyed: 7.75/10

Nice one  18 down, 4 to go.

In this test I had to use the technique where I place blue and orange Portals on the floor panel next to each other, since my aiming wasn't so good.

Note how I said, I used that technique! Because the floor panels are always large enough to do this! There is no force whatsoever to do everything in one go. And it can't be avoided, that's the most important part. The floor panels are that large for exactly that reason. Oh, and probably also for optics, but that's a neat side effect.

OK, this one needed some pretty delicate timing. This is fine, because said timing is used for genuinely clever things, but it's a bit of a departure from what Mevious does in this collection. Then again, you aren't Mevious, and variety is good...

All of the individual tricks here I've seen before, but they're pretty neatly disguised here. Feels a bit like a summary of previous techniques at the end of a game.

Making that last shot through the grate was a fun touch. ;)

So I'm not sure I solved this chamber as intended. I've seen a few people using ninja moves to replace the portal on the ceiling on the other side of the room... , but I found this wasn't actually necessary. What I ended up doing was similar but here goes: I placed one portal on the ceiling, one on the floor by the tilted panel, I then jumped through the portal, swapped the one on the other side of the room (as intended I believe), then as I came out of the floor, I managed to land on the edge of the clear wall. I then replaced the ceiling portal on the other side, jumped through the floor portal and finished as I think intended. Great chamber!

This was pretty cool. The twist at the end took a couple minutes to notice / figure out.

Looks a bit overwhelming at first glance. Very fun chamber though.

weee shoot right through that exit door!
Pamsy Mar 9, 2017 @ 5:42pm
Fun map, theme is addition, a little delicate to execute last move! Hint 1: Use both ceiling panels and 1 grate. Hint 2: "Add" ceiling panel through grate to gain extra height for one cycle. (Updated from 17 Dec 2015).

Good trick. Took me a while to figure out. I needed a faster speed Thanks for this.

Very nice concept, thanks :)

Excellent! Kind of trickey. Nice veriation of the BOOB manuver. (BOOB=Blue, Orange, Orange, Blue) At the end, there is a hard way and an easier way.

I thought this was yet another one of your momentum puzzles which became quite boring to me. So, I thought I'd rush through it... Boy, was I wrong!

Momentum 2.0! :)
Nice

Excellent test chamber. It required some reflexion as how to gain enough momentum for the last leap. Quite original. Enjoyed it very much.

That last part took some precision. Looked like it shouldn't have been possible, but I guess it must have been because it sure happened.
quat May 10, 2014 @ 2:07pm
Did you just invent addition ??? Very neat test.

I didn't think I could do it ( little trick at the end ) , but here I am . Good map !
Ale Oct 30, 2013 @ 2:28pm
One of the best of the series, thank you!!
Leandro Sep 22, 2013 @ 8:41am
I'm an idiot. I watch Metzger Ben's solution and I dit basically the same, but always the hard way. Well, at least I solved it.
The Sojourner Sep 6, 2013 @ 8:44pm
There's a common theme throughout the "no elements" chambers, and thus the difficulty can't really get harder than medium (unless of course some crazy ninja/speedrunning skills are involved).

(haven't I said this before for one of your maps?)

Clever map.

Nailed it, This was a personal best for me. It feels Sooooo freaking goooooood! Thanks again Gig. You are absolutely one of the premier map makers here. Awesome.

Muftwin Jul 2, 2013 @ 8:53am
i stood on the glass a the end to gain more height...im not sure if that was the intended solution...if it wasnt you could add a grate there
SloppyPlatypus Jun 30, 2013 @ 2:25pm
Tricky! :)

very bouncy. cheers
Geneosis Apr 22, 2013 @ 1:07pm
One more epic acceleration trick! Loved it :p
EvanED Apr 7, 2013 @ 7:11pm
Love it! I like how you have to use the short fall area by the start to both kill and gain momentum.
baphomet Apr 4, 2013 @ 10:27am
Magnificent! Overall, the "No Elements" collection is a triumph.
Brainer Mar 28, 2013 @ 3:55am
very nice map gig, gj
Lt. Zipper Mar 18, 2013 @ 1:22pm
WOW! can't believe I figured that out. was only missing a small piece of the equation. Thanks for making this
Lt. Zipper Mar 18, 2013 @ 1:14pm
wow i need help on this one.. stuck with a portal on the last section and one at the startijng point.. i was once able to portal cheat I guess to gain height, but can't figure that outa anymore..
Gigo  [author] Mar 15, 2013 @ 8:55am
Yaay!?
NiclO (- - ) Mar 15, 2013 @ 2:28am
Great map! Cheers! That last part was lame or absolutely brilliant. I dont know which one so I guess it was both :P
[♥] OMFGeoff Mar 7, 2013 @ 7:15pm
With all the newfound momentum skills I learned from the earlier maps, I took down this beast >:) Excellent map

15/10 then
Gigo  [author] Mar 3, 2013 @ 4:34am
Yep :D
Hen_ham Mar 2, 2013 @ 11:42pm
Amazing. Just to make sure I'm doing it right - I used ceiling to floor portaling to launch myself into the air in the last section, then while mid air put a portal back on the cieling and fell through it to the floor a second time, in order to get enough momentum to reach the exit door via the angled panel. That's it, right?
Sloi Feb 26, 2013 @ 9:33pm
Wow... fucking cool mechanic. :-)
