Description
-- I no longer have the time to maintain my mods. I may come back to them and do an update once the game goes out of Early Access and the code base stablilizes somewhat. The source code for all of my mods can be found at https://github.com/duncanas/arkmods . Any modder who wishes to update one of the mods can fee free to make a branch and deploy a new mod under there name. Credit would be appreciated.--

Use this workbench to salvage a portion of the component resources from your unwanted items. Returns 50% of your resources rounded down with the exeception of single components. Single components will have a 50% chance of being recovered.

You will alway get at least one component back. So for example if salvaging a torch you could get 1, 2 or 3 of the flint, wood and fibre components back.

Additionally trophies, apex animal artifacts and helmet skins give a significant amount of keratin or chitin. The default values are:
  • Argent Talon - 15 Chitin
  • Nerdry Glasses - 10 Crystal
  • Megalodon Tooth - 25 Keratin
  • Tyrannosaurus Arm - 20 Keratin
  • Sauropod Vertebra - 30 Keratin
  • Fire Talon - 40 Chitin
  • Lightning Talon - 40 Chitin
  • Poison Talon - 40 Chitin
  • Rex Bone Helmet Skin - 20 Keratin
  • Manticore Helmet Skin - 200 Keratin
  • Alpha Rex Trophy - 100 Keratin
  • Broodmother Trophy - 200 Keratin
  • Dragon Trophy - 200 Keratin


The cheat code to spawn the item in your inventory is:
admincheat "Blueprint'/Game/Mods/SalvageStation/PrimalItemStructure_SalvageStation.PrimalItemStructure_SalvageStation'" 1 0 0

Configuration

The following configuration settings can be added to a SalvageStation section in your gameusersettings.ini file:

SpecialItemMultiplier
Specifies a multiplier for how many resources you get back from the special items listed above. This is a floating point number that multplies the number of resources required. A value of 0 is the default and will effectively be the same as 1. To turn off this feature specify a value of -1.

DisableBlueprints
If this value is set to true, blueprints cannot be salvaged for the raw resources. This is on by default for game play rather than realism as blueprints are more rare than the items they make.

Example:
[SalvageStation] SpecialItemMultiplier=.5 DisableBlueprints=true

This will give half as much for salvaging special items and turn off ability to salvage blueprints.

Salvage 1 element becomes 50 shards salvage again becomes 50 element salvage again becomes 2500 shards. Exploit!

(Continued) ... and if no config-setting than maybe at least set it a little higher. Salvaging Master or Ascendend sometimes yield ridiculous amounts.

I really like your Salvage Mod. It's the only one allowing you a preview of what would result with the ability to abort. I tested most salvage mods and stations, you really did the best job here!

There is just one little thing which made a super-huge impact and really help us player a lot: Can you please add a 3rd config-setting setting the Inventory-Size of the Table.

[+2] For being able to see before salvage what and how much you get
[+1] For being able to salvage multiple items at once
[+1] For being able to salvage intermediary products like Metal, Paste into Raw Materials
[+1] For being able to salvage Blueprints if configured
[+1] For nice Wood-style Smithy-Like looking
[-1] For number of slots
[-1] For missing main yield config

Missing feature/options:
- Config Setting for Number of Slots
- Config Setting for Base Yield Return (why can only the Special items be configured)?
- Dedicated Config Setting for Yield for Blueprints only otherwise use default one

This is an excellent idea, I like the aesthetic and expanded function of this better than putting an industrial grinder in my hut ;)

You can not salvage most of the unused blueprints because there are too less free slots ... :steamfacepalm:
