Yes, I think that will happen whenever you go over the vanilla squad size.
Are you using robojumper's Squad Select? That works for me. Check that link I posted back in May 2022.
1. Go to Mods contents within windows explorer and using notepad+ edit the file SRC\MoreSquadSizeUpgrades\CLasses\MSSU_UIScreenListener.uc
2. Find the function function SetMaxSoldiers(int maxSoldiers) and add the line: class'XCovertInfiltration.X2StrategyElement_InfiltrationActions'.default.InfiltrationMaxSquadSize = maxSoldiers-2;
3. Within the Config file of the More Squad Size Upgrades edit XComMSSU_Settings_Default and set +StartingSquadSize=6
This would still require some other configurations within CI such as adjusting the Risk Thresholds. Anyways just wanted to post this as I thought I had seen some posts of people trying to get the mods to work together.
