I just can't bring myself to write a review for this game. It's just.. well how do I put it, simply the best experience I've had in gaming. I know that whatever I write in praise of this game isn't nearly enough to describe my feelings towards it.

I've been through some really bad phases in the last few years in my life and this game has just always been there. Even when it was good, I just found my place in this game. With Geralt I just feel so connected and I genuinely care about every single character this game has in store. Having read the books I can just say that this series is probably going to stick with me forever. I cannot explain the magic.

Some might not feel the same way and that's okay, really

There's many issues that I overlook just because I love it so much but when it comes down to it, there's always some main quests which really drag the flow down for me, they're really fun still, it's just that, they get tedious sometimes.

The combat is definitely a major problem, I've seen it getting a tad bit improved in the Next-Gen patch which is definitely a welcoming gift by CDPR, though that too has some very alarming performance flaws on all platforms.

The movement is clunky but it's not completely unbearable, matter of fact to me it never felt any different from games that are known to have some very realistic movement. I've played the Last Of Us games which in my opinion have the best movement there is.

But here's the catch for me- the world building. It is insanely immersive, has so many intricate details and how your choices truly do reflect in the game world right from the most trivial of choices. There's the youtuber xletalis who really gives you the idea of how "detailed" this game is and it is absolutely mind boggling that the community continues to discover things 8 years after release (at the time of review)

The way the story is written is so tightly woven to me and Geralt's expressions during certain many scenes are so hauntingly beautiful. Whenever I feel down, or whenever I feel like taking a break from my college I just come back to this game. Bad breakups, fights, losing friends, bad grades and sometimes health issues would come in my way but somehow I'll always find myself playing this game.

Even as of writing now, I really don't think I expressed myself quite like I really want to, you can consider this more of a "Why do I love witcher 3" instead of a genuine review.

Forgot to mention the graphics, well, they're downright gorgeous. Aged like fine wine. May not compare to the AAA titles out right now, but it has a charm and it stays with you throughout. I've posted some screenshots I've taken in-game and you'll see what I mean.

As far as buying the game is concerned, ANY price for this game is good for me. I bought it for about 2 dollars if you convert my currency to Dollars. Honestly felt like cheating, I got all the DLCs too. And yes, the DLCs are even more fleshed out, and sometimes outshines the base game itself. Blood and Wine introduces a whole new fairytale inspired setting called Toussaint while Hearts of Stone focuses on some incredibly tragic and terrifying storytelling.

If you want to buy it, now's your chance
