Highly recommend both the base game and the DLC. Great puzzles, sense of exploration, and worldbuilding/story. Generally also a very pretty game.

5/17/2023: New updates make it very difficult to play top tier without spending money on the game.

5/18/2023: Changes reverted; still not great, but at least jets are playable now. Will let this review stand, but changing my recommendation.

5/21/2023: Changing back; we need to push for a less grindy economy. Until that happens, negative review.

11/02/2023: Very happy with the changes.

Early Access Review
Unplayably buggy. Cannot play the game anymore due to persistent crashing bug. Before that started had multiple issues with core gameplay elements.
These are bad enough, but dealing with bugs is, to some degree, part of KSP. What's worse is missing features- no TWR per stage, no dV per stage. No way to change the body the TWR number for the first stage is calculated on, and apparently all dV numbers are in vacuum. This makes any advanced trip planning a massive chore, requiring a large amount of menial arithmetic to calculate. I don't mind doing math- I mind doing math the game should be doing for me. Trip planning is a step down from KSP 1- even before dV readouts were added to stock, since KER existed before them. There is no KER for KSP 2. If you want to go to Duna- it's probably going to be a large amount of trial and error.
Should not have been released- this is not a game.

I really enjoyed the campaign. Minor bugs and glitches but overall very fun. Be warned that the multiplayer does not work as of February 2023; the campaign is still worth a play but it is all you will get from this game.

Only continues to get more unbalanced. The devlogs show ops like Glaz and Jager are highly unbalanced, yet nothing has been done to rebalance them. Game crashes frequently; crashing will earn you abandon penalties that ban you from matchmaking in the game you paid for. I'll keep playing, but the game has gone downhill since S3.

After months of improvements, Halo Infinite is a fun time. The campaign is great, and the core mechanics of the multiplayer are very smooth. I wish there was a little more mode and map variety- especially heavies, snipers, and infection- but as is the game is a fun time, at least initially.

Possibly the least stable game I've ever played. Required mods to even launch, and still crashed every 10 minutes. Buy the GOG version.

As a free game, there's a fair bit of content. I wouldn't spend any money on it, but it's rather engaging and fun, especially once you unlock Game and Super Game on guns.
Worth a look, 7/10.

Haunting game with somewhat steep learning curve but fun gameplay. Does everything it sets out to do.
Worth a buy, even at full price.
10/10
