Too much cleaning. Too much pain. Too much suffering. Don't put yourself through what I put myself through. Run away before the cleaning absorbs your soul and turns you into a slave of completionism. Run from this pointless chore game before you become its next victim.

Early Access Review
It feels like there is a lot of game to explore, but it's very deceptive. Lots of weapons feel the same (and melee is useless), most bosses function the same, and the game just keeps looping around on itself.

The further you get, the less money and healing potions you find, the game becomes repetitive, and the village stuff is really bland. The mining is very worthless and adds nothing to the game.

It has a lot of potential, but it needs to vary itself or focus itself more. It has a lot of different mechanics, but not a lot of flesh on their bones. It needs to focus on certain aspects more or really flesh out what they have before continuing to add more. Farming is very basic, fishing is boring, combat is stiff, exploration is limited, mining isn't useful, etc.

There isn't many ways to describe the gameplay since it heavily varies player to player, but it can be fast paced, hack and slash, stealth, slow paced, or just a nice medium paced game. It has intuitive gameplay and neat mechanics not seen very often mixed with a compelling and interesting premise. The story is subtle and requires some digging to fully understand as you gun your way through the game. The visionaries you'll meet are all unique and interesting individuals and learning about them as you plot their demise is always fun. It isn't heavily open world. You have 4 regions split apart as well as 4 parts of the day split apart to execute a plan in one day. It seems intimidating when you start, but you'll get the hang of it naturally as you play. The only major issue is that it feels a bit repetitive as you get further into the game and revisit areas. A certain mission has you performing what is essentially a fetch quest into each area and that feels a bit more than what is necessary and becomes a chore. The difficulty never feels too hard or unfair, the added challenge of a human player spawning and trying to hunt you periodically can change the monotonous tasks up and give you something to worry about.

Overall, I think you should get this game if the idea of it interests you. It succeeds in what it sets out to do and masters it.

Throughout this game, I have realized several big issues with it that I will lay out here.

- The missions don't always work and sometimes are given to you when you can't complete them. This can lock you into areas or will make some missions uncompletable.

- You can clip through walls sometimes.

- Areas won't load sometimes.

- Enemies can go through walls.

- Enemies will endlessly teleport up behind you, even when running away.

- So. Many. Softlocks.

- Terrible endings.

- Little to no canon / lore relevence.

- Terrible laying out of timelines

- Awful level design

- No guidance of where you're supposed to go and if you get any, it's usually misleading or outright wrong.

- The AI is wonky and sometimes outright breaks.

This is only the tip of the iceberg. Steelwool rushed this game out before the holidays because they wanted to cash in on this time of year instead of delaying the game any further, which they should've done. The hype was too high and they had waited to long to call for another delay, so they released the game. It shows. The game feels like it's in alpha builds still and the amount of bugs, glitches, and errors in it are astounding. How this got past play testing is beyond me. This is another prime example next to Cyberpunk 2077.

Put actual love and care into your game so that I won't soft lock my game that i've been playing for nearly 9 hours and would have to revert to nearly 2 hours into the game to actually progress and get through the game properly. I've requested a refund, highly doubt I'll recieve it, so I'm out of $40+ and have nothing to show for it except for a highly unoptimized game that is far too large.

Really fun game full of running and gunning madness. Loot galore and enemy killing extravaganza. Nothing bad here with tons of play styles and tons of choices in weapons. If you love running, gunning, looting, shooting, and dodging... Buy this game.

One of the best games I've ever played. I would play it again if I had the time to spend another 1.7 hours looping through cucking.

The AI is really interesting, I enjoy the idea of the game and it's still only in the early stages! I suggest you buy this game even at the $5 price because it really is worth it!

This is nothing like Doom 2016 which was truly a Doom game. I loved it so much. I had a blast and played it through over a weekend. This game I started it and I quit after however long I have in it.

The game fails to fully acknowledge the previous game. This one is entirely on it's own. You don't need to play the previous one because even after doing that, I still had no clue what was happening.

You remember the addicting play style of Doom 2016? Yup. All gone. You now have a hand holding fest that locks you in a room, tells you to kill mindlessly until it shows you a new area to progress too. no exploring really, sometimes there is a tiny little place to explore, but nothing very huge like in 2016.

This game is a very dumbed down and watered down 2016. It even dropped the map maker. This game is complete garbage in comparison to it's predecessor. I would never buy this game even if it were free. That's how much I hate this game. By far the worst Doom I've played. It's just Halo, but with Doomguy instead of Master Chief.

Bought it for $25.99. It was truly a great price! My buddy and I were looking forward to binge playing all the campaigns and have a good time!

If I hosted, he faced horrendous graphical stuttering. He couldn't play with it, so he tried to host.

If he hosted, I faced a couple seconds of input lag on the norm.

I looked up the problem and found out 343 has been saying for a long time now that they were trying to fix it. Latest I could find was a year ago. This bundle would be a FANTASTIC deal for $25.99, but unfortunately when the campaigns are nearly impossible to play multiplayer and the online multiplayer has hit detection problems amongst other things... This game isn't worth your time. If you want to play this singleplayer only, you can have fun with it.
