This is one of the best open world zombie survival game out on the market. I am a big fan of Walking Dead that's why I was looking for a game which is open world zombie survival and has base building and this is it. The game has a great community with a developer team who cares about feedback. There are dev and community streams. Still getting updates in 2023 after 5 YEARS! Before you think this game can do more than what is currently available, let me just say that it can, but the development team has limited resources because most of them have already left SoD2 behind to work on State of Decay 3 with the developers of Gears of War. They use this game to get feedback on things to create a better new game (SoD3) with these new features. Unfortunately because of the limit of the engine and the capacity of the team will lower the chances of big changes or updates I just say it to keep this in mind. You can play this game however you want. There are multiple maps, bases and customizable difficulty options. You can build your base however you want there are slots and in that slots you can build different stations. There is a 4 player online coop with limitations but at least we have and there is a chance that this will get a revamp because of a multiplayer survey. I don't wanna tell you more, there is much more to discover just get it and try it out! Definitely worth 30€, but if you can't buy it for that much, then wait for the sale and buy it then.

Update on September 21 - The developers confirmed this in a developer stream, I heard it and I am happy to hear this message. -> Wushu Studios will continue to support State of Decay 2 with new content moving forward, as most of Undead Labs is now working on State of Decay 3.
