Edit: This game still sucks and I'm only updating this review for Steam Awards XP. (No, I'm not actually nominating this garbage game.)

Literally just Overwatch 1 with WORSE microtransactions somehow and more catering to comp players by reducing the player count to 5v5 in CASUAL.
0 effort was put into this game except for the in-game store and not even the cosmetics.
Don't give Blizzard your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ money on anything in this game, go spend that on buying an actually good game.

Never forget:

I've been really enjoying Gundam Evolution even though I'm not a fan of hero-shooters like Overwatch, it's a fun game and I like how all of the suits feel and play, but I can't recommend this game how it is right now.
The game has terrible netcode, irritating bugs, weird design choices, bad optimization for lower-end PCs, and a lack of content for free-to-play players.

The worst example of server issues is constant disconnections claiming that "connection with the server lost" that boot you not only from your match with no option to rejoin, but force closes the game (not a crash), and gives you a penalty for "leaving" despite it being a network error, not allowing you to play public or even private matches on an ever-expanding timer.
It's not a client-side issue either, I myself and friends who have high-end PCs and great gb-speed internet have these issues multiple times over the course of a few hours without us having hiccups in our internet connections.

As for the free-to-play content: this game is NOT pay-to-win, but it is not possible to buy all pay-walled suits with in-game credit.
These are not cosmetic, they are more units, with a few (those being Gundam Exia and Zaku II(Melee)) being very powerful in the hands of even the newest of players.
Not to mention that the current battlepass doesn't have very appealing items in the higher-tiers to most players, although that's just a personal gripe.

I'm not saying this game is bad and it is fun to play with friends, but I can't really recommend it to anyone that doesn't have a hard-on for Gundam or can put up with these glaring issues.

Early Access Review
The sign is a subtle joke. The shop is called "Sneed's Feed & Seed", where feed and seed both end in the sound "-eed", thus rhyming with the name of the owner, Sneed. The sign says that the shop was "Formerly Chuck's", implying that the two words beginning with "F" and "S" would have ended with "-uck", rhyming with "Chuck". So, when Chuck owned the shop, it would have been called "Chuck's ♥♥♥♥ and Suck".

Easily one of the best gameplay experiences and deals on Steam.
Not only are most of the games a perfect port to PC, but so many regular updates, new content, and even a server browser, mod support, etc. helped to keep this game and community alive.
I can't recommend Halo MCC enough whether you're into great singleplayer experiences, competitive multiplayer, casual multiplayer, or even the kinda player that enjoys messing around in wacky custom games.
PLAY THESE GAMES, NERD!

To preface, I don't hate Halo Infinite and I think the core gameplay is some of the best in the series since Halo 3 and I won't touch on microtransactions much even though I do think they are egregious or the campaign as I have only played the multiplayer on launch, "beta", and all of the insider flights.

Addendum: as of December 2022, 1 year after launch and this initial review, nothing here has changed. All of these issues below and the majority of the missing features here are still missing.

The game is clearly unfinished. As of the time of release and this review, it is missing:
1. Basic modes like Territories, Shotty Snipers, SWAT, BTB heavies, etc.
2. Playlists for specific gamemodes like Slayer, Oddball, and even Free For All, as only 3 options exist: Quickplay, Ranked(which is just Quickplay). and Big Team Battle.
3. Level selection for the campaign.
4. Co-op campaign. (cancelled as of September)
5. Forge.
6. Some of the simple starting colors as basic as Halo CE.
7. Pre and Post-game lobbies.
8. Any new maps, modes, or features on launch compared to the "beta", which was just an early launch.
9. Content for free-to-play players. Most all unlockables for F2P players is relegated to Challenge Swaps with only 2 helmets, a couple of visors (most in variations of gold), a couple of chestpieces, and a couple of armor coatings that leave a lot to be desired.

On top of the missing features above, many features are broken/unbalanced, such as:
1. Custom game modes not saving.
2. Custom games menu crashes.
3. Party leader inexplicably changing at random.
4. Weapons such as the Plasma Pistol and Ravager being so weak in multiplayer that they are unusable.
5. Vehicle health pools so low in some cases that they can be dispatched in 2-3 shots of a sniper rifle.
6. Vehicle handling so poor that it's not uncommon to see Warthogs flip constantly and Choppers flailing around.
7. Severe desync issues that are replicable and extremely common. It's pretty common to see a driver attempting to drive up a building when on their end they are on the other side of the map getting kills left and right.
8. Hit detection is busted and you will inevitably miss many a sniper headshot and watch your shots phase through enemies. This issue is especially noticeable with plasma weapons.
9. Lack of player collision can cause issues with meleeing.
10. Lack of friendly fire (yet you can splatter teammates?) leads to grenade spam from people mindlessly throwing grenades with 0 consequence.
11. Theater mode is completely broken for the most part.
12. Player/squad showcase at the beginning and end of each match is usually broken with players in incorrect spots and orientations, players not being shown, and nameplates being cut off.
This is just the tip of the iceberg of the bugs and bizaare design choices I've seen in this game.

Truly this game is a disaster of a launch, at least on the multiplayer side of things, as it was promised as a feature-rich free-to-play live-service Halo title, full of content for free and premium players, yet most all will be disappointed with the lack of modes, maps, new content, and even content at all for free players with all you're left with is a broken, unfinished, unpolished mess that tries to squeeze every last penny out of you.
Maybe in a few years this game might be worth your time to pick up, but, as of right now, AVOID THIS GAME AT ALL COSTS.

Tl;dr broken and empty mess of a game

Eternal was honestly the best game I've played in years. This game managed to exceed my expectations both in intesity and just how fun it is, and it even managed to be more enjoyable than its predecessor. I am glad to see that id really cares about this game, bringing in new content and fixing issues as soon as they occur and listening to community feedback; and it really shows with how polished and enjoyable this experience was and still is. I'm very excited to see the future content to come. Battlemode was kinda hit or miss though.
tl;dr: shut up and take my money!
