This game is absolutely amazing, it has great depth and attention to detail. My only bad comment is that the tutorial is awful, this makes the player feel kind of lost as this game is quite hard to get into with out any guidance.

Do you require a hand-holding tutorial? 2. Do you require constant gratuitous violence to remain interested? 3. Must you always play as an unstoppable force, wading through waves of enemies single handed? 4. Must you always play a game where death has no repercussion? 5. Are you the kind of player who rages after every death, blowing up the games forums with your self-pitying posts, crying like a child who just witnessed the collapse of their first ever sand castle?
Then please go buy another id-indulgent ubisoft/ea/activision game for £50 intended to keep your little peasant brain occupied as this will be too much for you to handle. You'll just get angry and leave a nasty review like all these other degenerates, blaming the game developers for their own lack of skill. It makes me sick inside. This is a real mature game, not a rated "M" game.
If you're a space simmer this is the best game out yet. Realism is its priority, and the "fun" of Elite Dangerous is a byproduct of the unforgiving realism. This game does not offer much in the way of instruction, even in the few tutorials which are included, they seem to be more of a safe opportunity for trial and error, rather than a "How To." This might slow down the "fun" for non-intuitive players who require more direct instruction to grasp gameplay concepts. However, once you have learned how to effectively navigate your ship, the whole gosh-darn Milky Way is your oyster! You are granted an overwhelming amount of freedom to go anywhere and do anything. There is no story or campaign (as of yet). It is a free form game that encourages players to find their own gameplay niche. Piracy, bounty hunting, trading, and exploration are some of the ways any player can earn income. The money you earn can be spent on a myriad of ships and ship upgrades at stations throughout the galaxy, allowing for some pretty specialized ship outfitting.
Space is big and space is empty. That is why we call it space. This seems to be a shock for many players, and personally I don't understand what they were expecting to encounter? In human space there are always NPC pirates to hunt, places to land and cargo to buy. Beyond the edges of human space, don't be surprised when there aren't many humans. Traveling hundreds of light years is an interactive experience which can take a fair amount of time. All speeds and distances are at a 1:1 scale. So any given star 1 light year away from your current position will take over a year to reach unless you activate FasterThanLight travel, then it might be more like 2-5 minutes.
If your ship end ups getting destroyed, you are given the option to re-buy your old ship at a discounted price and begin again at the last station you docked in. If you cannot afford to re-buy your ship, it is called bankruptcy, and you are loaned the starter Sidewinder ship. Death also causes you to lose any pending bounty vouchers you may have acquired and were hoping to turn in for cash.
All in all, I love this simulation more than any other space game. I am a huge fan of Sci-fi, cyberpunk, space operas, and hardcore games. I haven't logged into EVE online since I purchased this.
In my opinion, Elite Dangerous is already the greatest space game on the market, with more features to come in the coming months."
Now this review may be a bit harsh on the haters, but screw it. I personally thought this review hit the nail on the head.
Btw, all of this came about after a discussion I had with a few friends about E:D. Naturally the ones who "hated" it were all 'pick up and play' players, and didn't like the time commitment, which is fine. But at least it proves a point: the game is not for everyone, but that's no reason to flame the ♥♥♥♥ out of it like some whiny 13 year old who just lost his first game in COD.

The action is fast-paced and furious, the game's presentation is hilarious and exciting and the gameplay is very easily approachable. Experiment with a few classes or stick with one, but do anything to get your hands on TF2. It'll be an online experience you won't forget.

Vibrant and characterful as well as immense, Fallout 4 is the giant leap forwards Bethesda’s RPGs sorely needed in terms of presentation.
