Do you like robots? Do you like guns? Do you like shooting robots AS YOU FLY AROUND ON A JETPACK RAINING MASS DESTRUCTION WITH YOUR DUAL SAWED OFFS MADE OUT OF RUSTY METAL PIPES WITH 21 EXPLOSIVE *LIGHTNING* SHELLS IN THE MAG LIKE A GUNSHIP WHILE OCCASIONALLY STABBING THEM?! YOU DO?! WHO WOULDN'T?!

The fact that SO MANY of my skills from DIFFERENT GAMES apply here is AMAZING and should be done more often! I'm a student in game development and this game is a MASTERCLASS in design.

BUY THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did I mention you can go around and stab people with a rapier with a friend?

This game has given me my highest highs and my lowest lows in all of gaming.

Brutally hard, no hand holding, and brutally satisfying when you get the basics down. This is no Gundam Evolution boy, no Gundam Evolution!

A simulator which is clunky and slow. What a lot of reviews I see on here don't seem to get is that you're not Ultraman fighting kaiju, you're a 20 meter tall war machine of death with multiple parts moving around. Positioning, precision, gamesense, and team tactics are required to get anything done. If you want to be Amuro Ray zipping around doing insane acrobatics, you won't get that. You'll feel closer to the 08th MS Team or even the Cyclops Team deploying and duking it out slowly with a barrage of fire.

The gameplay is very thoughtful and substantial, each boost and shot/swing meaning either death or a secured victory on a teamfight. The radar not being an ornament like in other games but being even more important as everyone and anyone can stun or stagger you, leaving you to get picked off. This might be a turn off for some, but the thing is the game isn't won by just shooting, but by positioning. It's similar to a lot of hardcore shooters and games like War Thunder in this regard, so those who love those will love this game if they like what can be learned in this game.

The netcode is pretty bad however, I REALLY don't like the netcode. It can take from a minute to over an HOUR to get a game in some gamemodes, which slows down people trying to learn or just play the game in general! It doesn't help that it's peer to peer. I've heard horror stories of people lagging out midgame, I even got a desync yesterday that caused everyone to go invisible in a ranked match. Luckily, most of the netcode reviews here were resolved a week after the launch on Steam. So don't be turned off by those week 1 reviews saying they spent the entire day not getting a match!

This game is NOT for the faint of heart, and if you want to feel like you EARNED the right to be called an "ace" of whatever faction you love, with a near-endless amount of mobile suits (THEY EVEN HAVE THE AGGUGUY) that can be painted and customized to be made into YOUR custom, this game is for you!

Just... accept that you're going to be cannon fodder for a while as you learn the basics.
Good luck, future privates!

there are only 3 reasons to have this heist:
- you want mega sangres
- you want the murkywater uniform
- you bought the silk road pack
thats it, dont buy by itself, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ass heist with a quirky feature that only makes it tedious, crap on BOTH the USA section and the Mexico section, and MASSIVE sightlines on mexico with near to no cover, making for a tedious crapfest. Playing on death wish was painful enough imagine having to do this on DSOD solo without resorting to meta decks. dare I say, worse than goat sim.

Pretty good game, gameplay is simple and cohesive, corporations are implemented well and made obvious on how they work and what their advantages are, and all of them are useful in actual gameplay. Mechanics and how they work are extremely simple and easy to get into. Only problem I have with the game is progression, specifically with blocks unlocking or not. In my opinion I should be able to purchase a block I already have, be it from boxes or from enemies. It would be understandable if I couldnt purchase a block that was higher than my current grade with a corp, but having to slog through XP when I already have multiple blocks that I *should* be able to but cant buy at a post is pretty irritating. If this was intentional to encourage exploration(specifically combat) and questing or not, I cannot say for certain, but it is one little gripe I have with the game. Air to ground combat and general camera motion when I've locked on to an enemy is also annoying too. When I want to look around and see if anyone's behind me or not (especially with gang quests and or ambushes) I want to have full and free camera movement. As far as a player is usually concerned, the main attribute of locking on to an enemy is for the weapons on a tech to lock on to that enemy, such as cannons and the like. I get that locking the camera to focus on an enemy makes it easier for those not as acquainted with 3d spaces, but it's a bit too intrusive for people who want to maximize their combat performance and know their surroundings. The radar doesnt really help for knowing if someone's behind or not because all you get is a position, not what the enemy has on his tech or what kind of tech it is, be it a tanky GeoCorp tech with *a wall of lasers on it* or a literal wedge of death from Venture that will run around you. It's a good game overall, but it could use a bit more polishing. Oh, and side note, can you please not have to force people to go through the random "rotation" of blocks during building? can we not have a control scheme that allows you to rotate the blocks by axis instead? Because having to spend 5 minutes on making an armor wrap just face the right way is quite irritating and frankly annoying for anyone who wants to build something large and make it at least look good, as it lengthens the building process way too much.

Great game, a good successor to the previous Insurgency! Gunplay feels more sluggish and feels nothing like the old Insurgency on Source, however the gunplay is still great especially with the addition of room breaching and the new movement options. Kills feel less satisfying and my guns feel less powerful compared to before; but perhaps that is just because of the removal of AP ammo which might make the game more challenging, which is good. I love the fact that NWI has implemented the fire supports from Day of Infamy, another game of theirs; it truly makes choke-points and enemy set ups less "invincible" and allows the game to not be a dignity-stripping cycle of spawn-run-die. Maps are much better compared to the spawncamp choke-hells of before cough Sinjar, Ministry Push, Siege cough . For the first time of these amazing devs on UE4, it's good! Optimization needs work but other than that the game is great. Would highly recommend. 9/10. Glad to see that this dev team is gaining popularity. They deserve it.

A very nice classic pick-your-class first person shooter. I like how the game is unique by its cartoonish look and humor and weapons. Good job Valve, Good Job Indeed.
