Even without a discount this is the DLC I'd recommend picking up if you like the game. Personally I'm not much of a Skaven or Lizardmen player but I got this because Ikkit Claw looked cool and I got 10% off.

Since I got this I would rate it as one of the best DLC's I've ever purchased in terms of games especially since it's pretty cheap. Clan Skyre and the units added to the Skaven roster with this DLC are so amazing that I have played the majority of my hours with Ikkit Claw recently (I'm normally a Dwarf or Empire Player). Even if I have to restart my campaign progress I don't care as the 'Hard' rated start for Ikkit is about as hard as my Ratling gun squad getting 300+ kills in the first few battles.

The warp tech, Forbidden Workshop, Undercities and Doomrocket/Nukes are so worth the asking price for this DLC and that's not even considering the additions and improvements the entire Lizardmen race received...

Read the reviews for this and didn't expect that much going in but I wanted an arcade offroad racer for awhile now so took the plunge. All together the game is pretty good in my opinion, the career mode will keep you occupied for a awhile and then there's always the free race mode where you can replay races on the tracks you've unlocked so far.

The graphics aren't the best and neither is the AI but for what it is I think it's perfectly acceptable, there's also a large amount of vehicles ingame and more-so if you buy some of the DLC (the buggies and armoured units).

If you can buy it on sale, you have a controller and you like Arcade racers then I'd definitely recommend giving this one a look especially since there's a free demo available with 2 classes (2-4 vehicles) and 2 maps for you to try out.

I got to play it for free during a Free Weekend for the game and after around 1 hour I was hooked; I then spent the later part of the next evening putting an additional 5 hours into the game and completing the 1st part of the story. Compared to the other games in the genre (Titan Quest, Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, Diablo etc) that I've played this is easily my favourite and all round the most addictive in my opinion. THere is lots of variety in how you can build you character and even if you choose the same classes you can spec yourself out in different ways. The price of the game and its expansions is also very good and often you fcan find it on sale

Some others have noted issues with the graphics and how skills work and explanations but personally I've yet to run into a problem with skills (currently at Level 22) and I have no clue why one would buy a game of this genre to experience cutting edge graphical fidelity (that said personally I like the graphics and even running below max I think they're good and fit the setting well). Explanations of certain things (specific items or some mechanics) could be better however the game has a guide which can be accessed from the menu and Veterans of the game can also assist on the forums should you need help.

The equipment is very well done and there's a good variation in weaponry to suit your playstyle, the game also isn't stingy when it comes to loot and it isn't hard to come up with a set of equipment that you like only to find something to enhance it soon afterwards. The enemies are inspired by various Fantasy elements from fiction, mythology and other aspects of real life (undead, daemons, Cthulu-esque cultists and monsters, naga, goblins and bandits to name a few you encounter early on).

The story is alright but the gameplay is rock solid (the UI is also of note) and personally I recommend this to genre veterans and newcomers alike.

My favourite Total War of all time at the moment and the game that actually got me back into Total War following on from playing Medieval 2 and Rome 2 several years ago. The fantasy setting lends itself well to the Total War formula and the unit models are gorgeous and lovely to look at. There are a great deal of factions (especially if you own TW:WH1 too) and you don't need the DLC to get hours of enjoyment from the game (it definitely adds a lot of variety to the game and the Prophet and the Warlock is an amazing DLC at a cheap price if you want something more). There is a huge Steam Workshop community and tons of mods are available to to add simple things such as bug fixes, new effects, flags or total Overhauls such as Steel Faith (which is almost an entirely new game or two if you own WH1 as factions from both games are massively expanded upon and improved).

Personally I find the improvements to gameplay and other small quality of life make it such a pleasant experience to play and even though there are minor problems and irritations I don't find them to detract from the experience (and most can be fixed with mods anyway).

Overall a 10/10 game for me and definitely worth it if you are a fan of the Strategy and Fantasy Genre (especially if you're a fan of either Tabletop or the Total War franchise).

Long after originally writing this review the devs are still hard at work making improvements and additions to the game. Of note are the upcoming Wood Elf rework along with their new lords and an additional Skaven lord. Not only that but the Greenskins have had a massive rework and saw the addition of Grom the Paunch to diversify their roster along with two High Elf lords and new mechanics. Still a fantastic game with fantastic support.

Not a bad game especially since it's on sale very often (currently at $1 for me) and it reminds me of some of the aspects of the older COD games albeit less polished. If you can get it 50% off or more and you like WW2 FPS games then I think it's definitely worth a look.

The AI isn't amazing but the maps and weapons look pretty good, missions are fairly lengthy and the gunplay feels and sounds are pretty good too. I saw the mixed reviews for this game and was initially warded away by them but then I purchased it 80% off and I'm happy I did as I have had quite some fun playing the campaign.

Do you like Left 4 Dead?
Do you like Warhammer Fantasy?
Do you hate little ratmen?

Then definitely buy this game. Fatshark has captured the aesthetics of Warhammer Fantasy perfectly with the Vermintide series and everything looks dark and gritty while combat flows perfectly. Gameplay follows the L4D formula but with swords, magic and ratmen instead of Zombies and thus it provides a perfect co-op experience for you and 4 others to literally mow through hordes of Skaven Slaves and Clanrats (until you run into one of the mini-bosses; these follow the same vein of L4D so expect to have to work together to not be dragged-off by a Packmaster; pummelled by a Rat Ogre or turned into Swiss cheese by a Ratling Gun to name a few).

If you like co-op hack'n'slash games (or even want to run solo with AI) then I definitely recommend both this game and number one to you. Also for the price it's a steal especially considering it's often on sale. The main difference between one and two are that Chaos and the Northmen have arrived for you to murder (and soon Beastmen too in an upcoming dlc) and this one is a little more refined but both are worth a look if they interest you.

It's a free to play game with more content than most paid AAA titles that get released nowadays. Even without paying a cent you get tons of content (you can pay for more slots, paints and quick access to crafting materials or Warframes) and I didn't buy anything until around 130 hours in.

Tons of different missions, weapons, environments and Warframes (those are the characters which you play as) for you to access and use with more constantly being added along with bugfixes and quality of life improvements. The gameplay is like a 3rd person shooter, RPG and parkour hybrid with an emphasis on movement and adaptability to situations. There are so many different weapons and Warframes in the game and they can accommodate any playstyle possible (there are throwing knives, sniper rifles, shotguns, semi-auto and auto rifles, beam weapons, grenade launchers, bows and that's only a few of the primary weapons ingame - there are secondaries, melee weapons and abilities too). The Warframes themselves are like classes in ARPG's with their own stats, abilities and roles (there are healers, tanks, melee, dps, ranged and all manner of hybrids) which you can customise and upgrade as you see fit. The game isn't very grindy unless you want the parts to a particular warframe or unique weapon (which have a drop chance from random enemies or bosses) and it's really easy to get going once you have the weapons you want. The weapons and Warframes and acquired via crafting in which you buy a blueprint from the store (with ingame currency which is really easy to get) and then finding the components required and building it (this take a few hours but you can skip it if you want). A few of the special weapon variants and uniques are pretty frustrating to get as they depend on random drops but none of them make or break the game so they're not essential for you to progress.

There are also plenty of promotions so you can get free stuff with Twitch Prime or code giveaways which is always nice. If you're on the fence just download it and reach your own verdict since it's free and you've got nothing to lose except a bit of time. On a side note the game is extremely well optimised and I could run it above medium on a 2.2Ghz 4rd Gen I5, a 2Gb GT740m GPU and 8GB of DDR3 Ram while it still looked really good (similar to some AAA titles released not long ago).

Probably the most iconic and rock solid RTS of the World War 2 time period CoH definitely deserves your attention if you like the genre. It has a large amount of content for pretty much anyone; several campaigns, solid AI in skirmish mode and a healthy multiplayer scene (desync's do happen and are quite irritating). If you like RTS games this is a must have and the presence of mods such as Europe at War and Blitzkrieg add much more variety and depth to the base game (and they're free).

Probably my top RTS game of all time; it has everything I want in a World War 2 game - base building, balanced units, varied strategies and Tiger Tanks (although the way the base game handles tank damage bothers me so I use the Blitzkrieg mod almost exclusively for the more hardcore experience). This is well worth the money and as a bonus it is often on sale for dirt cheap around holidays.

A ARPG based in ancient mythology from our world (Greek, Egyptian and now Norse). If you enjoy games such as Diablo (notably 2), Grim Dawn or Van Helsing then I'd suggest you give this one a look. It's an older game but the mechanics and gameplay are very solid and stable. The developers still provide content for the game (Ragnarok came not long ago) and despite this the game already has a lot of content and playtime in it.

Fans of ARPG's will want to give this one a look and although the start feels a bit slow it does start to pick up later on. The biggest detriment to the game at the moment is its pricetag which isn't over the top but it isn't cheap either ,however, I do believe it to be worth it if the gameplay and setting interests you.

It's got a similar playstyle to the Civilisation series of games in that it's turn-based and that the city, technology and movement mechanics are almost the same. This has got a fantasy setting however and the various factions and units give it a very distinct and interesting appearance. Personally I find the game is graphically gorgeous and i enjoy playing it more than Civ 5.

If you're a fan of turn-based games and are interested in a fantasy setting or if you just want more Civ-esque games then I highly recommend Endless Legend and its DLC's
