Early Access Review
Yes, I have 1600h but the reason im leaving a bad review is because the game shown in the trailer is gone. It is the version i enjoyed and has been replaced with a frustrating confused mess of a game called evrima.
the old branch had a great concept for a dinosaur survival game where you hunt, stalk and avoid players. It had a great premise with a clear vision of what it wanted to be, or at least so it seemed.
Evrima the new branch on the other hand feels like a hotpot of ideas all thrown together without any "after thought" *wheezing*. It also is intended to have humans and tribals which are supposed to be scary cannibal people.. in a game with scary dinosaur that eat people...
Not to mention that this multiplayer game with a 100 players per server is planned to have AI ecosystem which is going to be entirely AI generated like the game "Rain world" with 300-500 Npc with "human like behavior". If you know anything about game development you are probably seeing a lot of red flags already. Well let me tell about the mindset of these devs when it comes to solving simple issues.

Isle Devs in a nutshell
Nightvision was a feature in the old branch which allowed you to see in infrared in a small radius around you. If you where a nighttime hunter you would be able to see more. This however wasnt perfect, it was very hard to tell where you where going because the nightvision was so limiting that you couldnt see more then a few feet around you. A lot of players got around this by increasing the gamma to see in the dark.
Now how do you think the devs where going to fix this? Increase everyones nightvision so they can better see where they are going, maybe force nightvision to toggle on at night?

Their idea was to make nighttime darkness change depending on which dinosaur you where playing. Like for example if you played Dilo nights would be very bright compared to trex which wouldnt be able to see anything at all during night and would have to solely rely on hearing and smell. Sounds terrible right? Well after months of testing and implementing they decided to not go in this direction and changed nightvision into something so awful and so eye scourching it made people vomit. It was so horrible that after only 2 months (which is fast for this game) it got replaced with the exact same nightvision they already had in the old branch...?!?
And just so you know they added nights before nightvision so people could literally not see anything during nighttime before this update... and they still havent done anything about gamma users.

TLDR:
The game worth your time, which is shown in the trailer is dead (at least in the EU), its no longer being played and while you might be able to find some people playing, they might be playing the game in a very niche way and odds of you getting kicked or banned are high.

Hey, hey people!
Do you want to play tf2 without having to play tf2?
Are you sick of getting your a** handed to you by someone that just installed the game and decided to pick the one character that counters yours?
Are you tired of women?
Then Mordhau is the game for you!

Mordhau is the game for us mentally re****** people that cant tell from what end you hold a sword. You play this game by swinging a large metal object of your choosing at said re****** player. This game is easy to learn but hard to master. You'll probably start off swinging your sword wildly only to get stomped on by everyone else. So you quickly learn to instead of swinging to also parry and then to faint a attack now and again. If you keep going you might end up playing on a 1v1 server for 8 hrs dodging peoples sword attacks by crouching under their attacks as a purple dwarf spamming the most annoying voice lines you can think of. Congratulations you are now skilled enough to ♥♥♥♥ talk people and vent out your frustrations of being a smelly 16 year old without anything resembling a social life.

I wish the people that didnt pay for the dlc got the Ripperdactyls for free atleast.
My theory is that they originally planed that but the higher-ups or SEGA said they had to put them in the paid DLC.
Its a shame really because the devs did such a great job with this update and the game in general and the the publisher trying to ruin it for everyone.

This game really stands the test of time. Its old, looks old but the gameplay is still fun its better then the newer historical game in terns of depth but not as deep as crusader king II however but is more freindly to new comer to the these types of games, plus this game has live battles you can fight making for some epic moments.

Story time: I had married my princess to get a epic general with amazing trait that gave his army high moral and himself a high HP pool. however he wasn't able to return to my kingdom because he couldn't move for the first turn and he was just in range of a enemy army.
So i hastle recruited a few mercernary knights and spearmen. I was really scared for losing him and the princess I used to get him first of his line. This man would one day become the King of France.

Right as I expected the enemy force attacked me and I couldn't withdraw and I hadn't saved either. I thought to myself if he is going to die I'll give it all I got.
The enemy out numberd me by 10/1 first thing I did was let the enemy come closer and attack the few spears I had while the cavalry was hidding in the woods. I charged the crossbows units because my frontline had already broken. The enemy cavalry charged and so did I however they didn't stand a chance against my elite bodyguard and with some flank charges with my mercenery cav. However what was left was the enemy general with health stacks of heavy infantry running down my infantry. What happend after that me isolating a single unit and charging them from both sides however I soon lost all my cavalry due to some of them dying on the charge. With only 6 man left of my bodyguard and my general I charged the isolated general still with full hp.
The two generals where facing off mine was already wounded but that didn't stop him. The two generals exchanged blows 1 after the other anyone of these blows could mean the end but then, somehow, my general managed to strike his sword through his armor and droping the horse he was riding on killing him. With only him left now I retreited with the dead generals bodyguard running after me and then my general broke moral and fleed so he didn't die.

A few turns later he was back with a full stack to take his vengance.

-CONS-
AI is pretty bad and can be abused (Hasn't improved much in newer TW Games)
Some units are glitchy and dont work like intended. (Pikemen and Two-handed)
Mongols are annoying to fight and not as epic as hoped.
Seige battles vs AI isn't very good.
Diplomecy is very shallow.

-PROS-
Deep mechanics something that used to be normal in games back in the day.
Traits are fun to mess around with and creating a picture what your King/general would act like.
Easy to learn.
Historical battles are fun and creates unique a challages to overcome.
Can be moded (Strainless Steel, Lord of the Rings).
Sound track is great and fits the situation greatly.
