When you see your friends die horrifically time and time again it begins to become nothing. And soon you will realize that you have nothing. All belongs to the company. Your friends, your body, your soul.

I'm stunned.

This is not a game. To me, Placid Plastic Duck Simulator represents the very essence of life itself. In every duck you see, there is personality, individuality, and perhaps even aspirations. Yet, in their buoyant existence they find futility: unable to choose their destination, forever surrendered to the elements. We watch over them like deities indulging in the mysteries of their futures. In spite of life's indifference and disconnect from our influence, they float along. From slipping down a slide to being abducted by UFOs, their rubber remains resilient from the wake of their existence. They float along, no matter what. From their journey, we can derive what it means to be alive: to press on against the waves that crash against us, continuing on in spite of however cruel the world around us is or however lost we are. We are here. We are alive and in the now, to see our own paths follow through wherever they lead. Thus, we can find solace in solemnity. This is not a game. This is a mirror into the soul.

This game made me hate windows and fat people.
