I first played Submachine around age 8 or 9, I'd found it on an old Flash games site along with some of Mateusz' other games (namely the Covert Front series, which I'm hoping for a remaster of at some point in the future!).
Instantly I was hooked on it. The puzzles are simple yet entertaining, the series rewards exploration and critical thinking with those wonderful "eureka moments" where everything just clicks.
All of this is accompanied with a deep and interesting story and incredible and unique hand-drawn visuals.
Put simply, the Submachine series is a work of art.
I've only played the main "campaign" so far, there are a few changes and tweaks, but the original "path" is pretty much kept intact (muscle memory kicked in the instant I saw the basement, I was looking for a spoon for a good while).
Still eager to find all the new stuff! Some of the "spinoff" levels are a bit of a headache right now, but that's just because I don't already have them imprinted into my memory.
Would definitely recommend for new and returning players of the series.
Long life Flash Player games and their legacy!

In any other occasion, I'd recommend VRC.

However I can't recommend a game that shuts off its community and chooses to add anticheat solution, backing it on false claims that it will "protect users" and "ease development", when in reality, all it achieves is the effective removal of actual useful modifications.

Many of these mods allow people with disabilities to play, or users such as myself who have poor VR performance without the aid of utilities such as downscalers, frustum and distance culling mods, among others.
Others solve long standing issues in VRChat such as crasher avatars and avatar stealing.
In spite of this, they've gone as far as to state that community mods "hurt development", waste the support team's time when they break, usually put users at risk, and steal their accounts and log their keystrokes.
All of these statements were countered by known mod developers, especially the breakage of mods due to updates, citing code obfuscation as the source of such a problem.

I'm not going to invite anyone to boycott anything, I believe everyone should think for themselves.
But this is overall a terrible move on VRChat's end. It won't solve user's problems, it'll just solve theirs.
It's clear the VRChat dev team has a particular dislike towards client modifications, but they had many opportunities to work with them to make VRChat better, and they're now essentially throwing that out the window.

Got in, did some barely passable sword fighting, then had fun getting bodies spaz out.
Also figured out you can avoid electricity spells by using a sword as a lightning rod.
The modding support certainly gives it yet another level of replayability.

As many others have said, it's a story, not a game. It's... something... Something you should definitely play.

I'm bad at writing reviews, so I'm just gonna say that if you like space and exploring it this is a nice game. Make sure to buy the Horizons season pass with it, it adds planetary landings and a whole bunch of other nice things.

Seems to be fun for the most part (haven't played all of it yet). It's such a shame the port wasn't adjusted to run properly on PC

At first I didn't see much point to this game, so it was one of those "I bought it but never played it" games. But then, I took a look back and started playing with this and that, friends offered help through chat, and sometimes even in game.
It's a really good game if you like normal and random stuff smashed and mixed together. Seriously, you can go on and dye your hair rainbow or have a gun that shoots nyan cats. I really recommend this game.

I love it. The only thing that this mod is missing is a Workshop Editor Nevermind!
