great story and visuals what more do you need from a visual novel?

Repentance feels like a father that left you to go on a trip for 3 years. While in the trip, he texted you about a whole bunch of souvenirs that he bought you. And when he came back, he gave you the souvenirs, and they were great and fun, but you noticed quickly that he doesn't feel like the same person. Before he was carefree, fun and forgiving at times. But now, he acts more harshly, he is a bit more strict but still has some of his old personality in him at times.

basically the dlc is fine, the new content is really great like REALLY great. But now, the game is not the same fun game that we used to play. The game feels like a big challenge cluster♥♥♥♥ that Edmund wants us to complete. Am i saying that his decision to make the game more difficult was the right one? Well it's hard to say. On one hand i miss the old ways of being able to break runs with only two items, but on the other i want to respect the decision that the devs made about nerfing the game and making things more difficult, and take the challenge they crafted for us head on.
So i chose that i want to try and accept the new father even with his changes, i still cherish him as a person and can still see and feel some old parts of him from the past.

But even so i would highly not recommend this dlc to those who are just looking at the new content and saying "oh this looks like fun!" because now, if you do buy this dlc you will have to commit to the new challenge and accept that it will crush your balls left right and center.
Here are some reasons why you should buy the dlc:
A. If you are a new player that doesn't know anything about the game, buy it. Sounds kinda dumb with the difficulty, but i feel like if you are a new player you won't be really aware by how broken the game can be and just adapt to the game with how it is.
B. Buy it if you are aware of the challenge that you will face and accept the fact that the game won't feel the same after buying the dlc
C. To support the developers! Even with it's difficulty quarks, the developers of this dlc worked really hard to try and give the user a great experience, even if the experience can turn to be a pain in the ass.

when i played this game a lot back in my gaming days i enjoyed it a lot
i cant really explain why i like this game other then saying that you can find joy in it
give it a try

Music, art and subtle bits of story were really really beautiful when i played my small share of the game.
Please give it a try.

The ending (spoiler free)
The game has one of an ending, and the entire community seems to be split on it.
One side debates that the ending is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and because of it ruined the entire series as a whole.
on the other side we have the people that praise the ending for being one of the best endings that Danganronpa can give.
And there are people in the middle ground that think the ending has flaws, but is still a really good ending.

(the three sides are what i found through looking on videos and discussions around the internet)

And well, i am on the side of the ending being really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good.
To say why, is going to be heavy spoilers, but i will say that the ending is an ending that leaves a lot of things open.
And because of that, a lot of talking around it is happening, theories going left and right, people saying that the ending was ♥♥♥♥, while some other people will try to argue against that idea. And because of this, i believe that the ending is good. An ending that is still being talked to this day, is an ending worth being considered a great ending, that's what i believe at least.

So from what i have gathered, Kodaka (the writer of the story) said that he knew that the ending was going to be controversial, but he still wanted to make it, since it was something that he always wanted to do with a story.
And in the end, i think he made the "right choice" in making the ending.
So if you do decide to buy the game, and play it through to the end,
All i will ask is that you keep a very open mind while going through the ending of the game.

But overall, if not talking about the ending, i still think that the game is very ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good. It builds and adds more to the universe of the Danganronpa game series, it makes more great additions to the class trails while also improving on old ones, and also subverting the expectations of the player.
And on a final note, please PLEASE play the demo, and don't dare play this game if you didn't play the previous games.

while playing the game, my right stick of my controller broke for no reason. and now i am forcing myself to play on my keyboard. this experience will forever be in my heart. thanks dark souls.

but other then that. the gameplay is addicting, giving you so much rushes of adrenaline while fighting monsters or bosses, that you just want to come back and try to defeat the bosses if you failed to get that feeling again.

the design is amazing, making you feel like you are actually there.

and the story is really mysterious, giving the vibe of real life history. in which you truly don't know what happened before your character comes into play.

and overall, the game is amazing and will bring you a whole lot of memories that you will cherish forever.

This game is fun. The visual's are simple yet very beautiful. And it's very fun with friends. Go buy it xd

Aight, so. After giving the game a more fair shake, i would like to say that this game is so addicting.
The feeling you get when you get more and more powerful as you progress your run just feels really amazing.
And i believe that this game is one of this years most innovative rogue-like that i saw.
So like my old review, go buy this game xd.
