Very Fun game. Anyone complaining about performance needs to take 30 seconds and adjust their settings, and the game runs perfectly fine. Went from 2 Fps to 100 by changing two settings. Only downside I've found so far is that auto-save is off by default, and a crash just lost 3.5 hours of progress. MAKE SURE TO TURN AUTO SAVE ON

Pretty fun and relaxing game, with beautiful graphics and a rewarding gameplay loop. Pretty grindy, but recently the devs implemented changes to make grinding easier, with more planned soon. Hook like an MMO, with gameplay that doesn't suck!

Pretty fun. Pre-Order Beta is a bit un-optimized, but still playable and amazing. If all the optimization bugs are fixed by launch, this will easily be the best game of it's genre. Regardless, full recommend

If you can get it for $20, or free, it's worth it. This is still not a game worth $60, or anywhere near it. Everything that was in the game at launch works fine, mostly, but playing it for the first time since then, it's not great. For five years of "improvement" there're still more bugs than I could count. In 10 hours of game play I've run into 6 different instances where I needed to restart my game to fix a game-breaking bug. From the A.I. ships, to the animals the movement and interaction with the world is consistently glitchy. The gimmick of the game, being the random generation, is shallow at best. Between 4 different solar systems I've seen about 20 creatures that were almost identical to at least one other creature encountered, with roughly 5 wholly "unique" creatures. The multiplayer which was promised before launch, is present, but filled with glitches and strange design choices. As a nitpick, there only being four races in a functionally endless universe feels sparse and immersion breaking. I can't respect how the game launched, and although I can recognize and respect all the work they've done to "improve" the game, $60 is still an insultingly high price. With more glitches than I can count, underwhelming variety in a game lauded for it's "infinite scope", and gameplay that ranges from boring to annoying and tedious, there's no way I can recommend this game full price. $20 or below seems reasonable IMO

Been playing Civ since IV and this might be the best one. They simplified things that were overly complicated and added significant depth to many of the games systems. Every one of the games core mechanics has been updated to a more sensible and complex style. Adjacency bonuses for different districts based on terrain, other districts, wonders and unique buildings really rewards the player for planning ahead and understanding how their Civ works. In my eyes they've made the game notably easier to learn, with a much higher skill cap than previous titles. Overall very good, and each main DLC adds much to the game.

Very well could be my new favorite paradox game. At launch it is essentially crusader kings 2, with updated everything, for a fraction of the cost. Bringing in most of the previous title's DLC content as base game features, as well as improving on nearly every aspect of the game, this is a true successor to CK2. Easily the best paradox launch I've witnessed, and I can't wait to see where it goes from here. If you're a fan of previous Paradox titles and/or grand strategy as a whole, this is a must play game.
