This thing we've got here is not worth the price. If only it looked more like the original.

- This game is just the 1st Strike Force Heroes story with gameplay elements from the 2nd SFH, like the gambling machine, skins etc.

Is this remake even good?
- While the original characters in the game looked tacticool and serious, the ones in the remake look like a bunch of superhero clowns, and they pretty much act like that too, which steals the immersion that the original game had. You're no longer in a serious situation that you're trying to solve.. You are now a "cool" fool jumping around.

-The classes are no longer so "original", because some weapons that were previously typical for certain classes (AR+revolvers for Medic, Melee weapons for Commando etc...) can now be used by multiple classes.

Gameplay and graphics:
- This remake definitely looks incredible compared to the original, but..
- While some of the effects look good, they overwhelm everything (in combination with the lighting and other effects in game), so you will have hard time knowing what's happening.
- The range AND accuracy of your weapons is also further reduced compared to the original SFH, which is really annoying. No matter what, if you're in a harsh fight, the only thing you can do is pray n spray, because you will hardly be able to guess where are your shots landing, what damage is dealt by you/or your ally etc. The HUD is also kinda confusing.

- With these changes, you will soon encounter balance problems. The game is really unbalanced, some classes no longer even make sense because their iconic weapons can now be used by another class, which make's them useless..

And that's how it is :-( I'm glad I could refund it in time. Maybe if it was the original game itself, I would keep it, but this is just not it.
>>>> Not even worth the nostalgia which is sadly no longer there. But since many problems emerge later in the game, It's worth buying for those 2 hours and then refund it. Atleast you will not miss it after such experience. <<<<

The Sands of The Coliseum, which is the only game for which I bought this "pack", is buggy and not complete. It looks like noone even tried to play it before releasing it.

Also those problems emerge after the 2 hour playtime so I can't even refund it now.

You have to click on like 3000 random windows before it even lets you start up the game... Like man I want to play the game not spend 10 minuntes trying not to summon Skynet :P

Compared to the first Styx game, Shards of darkness offers much more diverse environments (from old, rotten villages or flying ships to majestic castles built into mountains), which is a positive because while the fortress in the previous game was very interesting, I got tired of it half trough the game.

Also you can now unlock and change your character's clothes and weapons, which often changes gameplay and makes it more interesting.

Pros:
-This is a very good, emotional game aaaand...
-Well.
-Read some other reviews.
-I'm too lazy to write one.
-But read only those with thumbs up I warn you!

Cons:
-If you decided to read any of "thumb down" reviews, you'll die in this game.
-You don't belive me? Buy it, and try it!

This game has only one big negative: You must own some kind of NASA computer to enjoy the real look of the game. Exploring and discovering beautiful environments is not so cool without good graphics, and that's what makes 75% of the game.

As the exploration is the main part of this game, looking on game wiki will spoil like everything to you. So at first, try to complete it without any help. you'll have much better experience.

An excellent way to learn, how to disassemble/assemble many guns and understand, how the hell do these cool things work.

But beware. You really won't get all the guns. This is something like lite/demo version, and if you want the other guns, you have to buy some other packs/the complete one.)

But you can unlock many guns even without that.
And it's worth. Just imagine, how cool it is to disassemble 88mm Flak or Zis cannons from WWII, or even an armored vehicle...or a tank. :-) Part by part.
