This game is a hidden gem. The voice acting is mediocre most times and good at some times and the dialogue is cringe-inducing with just enough professionalism to make you at least feel a little immersed. For an old game, it looks great. I remember playing on the 360 and facing relentless lag, but on the PC it's a good time. The gameplay is a lot like an elder scrolls game combined with maybe champions of Norath if you know what that is. There are many different types of creatures, even original ones you won't find in other games. There are factions, though there aren't a load of interactions with them aside from just doing quests to get the rep for them; they're mostly just parts of the environment and role play I suppose. There is potion crafting and ingredients. It's really just everything I look for in a retro rpg. It's super cheesy. Honestly... 10/10. You should definitely check this game out.

Pretty funny game I guess. Not something I will play again but for 50 cents I'd say I got my money's worth in entertainment. If you're looking to waste an hour of your life running back and forth to safe spaces and boosting minorities then this is the game for you.

Classic game worth playing.

The humor alone is a good reason to buy this game. Guybrush Threepwood is one of the most iconic characters in any game I've ever played, and the writers of the game did an amazing job making the jokes that would define him as a piece of gaming history.

I haven't played my share of point and click games, as I find them mostly boring. This game however overcomes that through wit and laughs. In any case where dialogue is present there will always be a joke to keep it from being too boring. I will say that there can be some tedious back and forth, but you don't have to participate in it if you don't want (but I will say sometimes it pays off to just go along with it). Like any point and click game, it's objectives consist of problem solving and puzzles. If at any time you get stuck it even provides a help option that basically tells you what to do just by pressing H. I don't want to say much about the story, but I will say that it was short and sweet. Overall I enjoyed the gameplay but probably won't play it again since the story is pretty short and I really don't think I missed anything.

Pros:
-Funny dialogue
-Memorable characters
-Fun gameplay mechanics (as far as a point and click goes)
-Can probably be finished in one day
-Soundtrack is exquisite
-Can switch between the new and old versions

Cons:
-Some of the travel back and forth can be tedious
-Short story
-Low replay value

This is really just one of those games everyone should play at one point or another, and I hope my review influenced your dicision to buy it. If you can try and get it on sale, but 10 usd really isn't a bad price for this game and it never hurts to support the develepors.

Great game. The Warmastered Edition is the modernised and upgraded version of the original Darksiders game. There is no new content, but the graphics are better, and the game is better optimized for modern technology. I say that because I've had Darksiders in my library for about a year or two now and wasn't able to play it due to CTDs about thirty minutes in. Now I can actually play the game without experiencing problems.

The game is pretty much the same. Maybe the graphics are better (they are), but for the most part it's the exact same game, except playable. I'm so glad that Nordic games have invested time into the darksiders games to remaster them. It always surprises me when a company buys the rights to something and doesn't just sit on it or let it go to waste. Props to them, this is a very playable remaster of the original game. I'd recommend it to anyone who loves a good adventure game.

We danced, they laughed, I killed their whole family.

Good game, crashes sometimes though. 9/10

Ps. be sure to raise your graphics cache if you don't want it to crash constantly.

The game had a rough start, but after coming back after a few updates and trying it out, it's actually a really fun game. For starters, if you're an Xcom veteran, you will be pleasantly surprised to see that you can actually hit things in Xcom 2. The different classes are all pretty balanced; there's no particular reason to pick all of one type, and none of them are particularly useless. The gameplay is actually a lot like enemy unknown, so if you liked it then you should like this game as well.

The game is still poorly optimized, but at least now it's playable for me. Overall there isn't much to say. It's a pretty good game. If there's anything you don't particularly like about it then there's probably a mod to change it. I'd give it a 6 out of 10.

Early Access Review
I know game devs hate it when their game gets compared to another, but this game is a lot like Terraria, and I'd urge any terraria player to play it. It keeps in tact the 2D voxel building and platforming mechanics and gameplay while adding a whole lot of cool ♥♥♥♥ in reference to other games of the sort. It's not a quick rip off of Terraria if that's what you think it is, but instead an entire game build of the same game style.

In Starbound things are more futuristic and sci-fi, whereas Terraria seems to focus on a more fantasy feel. And you'd expect that when you realise that in starbound there are hundreds (if not thousands) of planets to explore. Certain aspects of the game are a lot more fluid than Terraria's. For example: The map circles all the way around, as apposed to terraria where you are stopped at a dead end. I find this feature especially pleasing since I've had to tolerate Terraria's version of this for so long. There are even quests to guide you so that you don't wander mindlessly around the galaxy for eternity (though there's nothing stopping you if that's what you wish to do)

One thing I'd have to complain about however would be the platform mechanics. You have to press down and hold space to pass through the platforms. That's not it though, when passing through the platforms, you don't stop or slow down at every platform like you do in Terraria, no, you pass through them as long as you're holding down both buttons. You pass through them without slowing down; without friction. This leads to the player often falling to their death in randomly generated areas underground or elsewhere. In fact, the platform mechanics are so bad that I hardly ever use them with building, even going out of my way to avoid using them when traveling. Also, There isn't a map like in Terraria, unless I just haven't found it yet.

Tl;dr Pros and Cons section:

Pros:
-huge universe with many planets to explore
-map scrolls around when you've hit the edge
-sci-fi instead of fantasy (if that's your thing)

Cons:
-platform (block) mechanics are absolutely terrible
-no map (though not a big deal to me I figured it may be worth listing)

You have to keep in mind that this game is still in beta, and I have to say that for a game in early access beta it is really ♥♥♥ fun. There are no major bugs that would impact your gaming experience, it's fully functional, hell, there are even mods for it already. I'd give it a solid 8/10 definitely worth the money.

I like it. A lot. I only played it for about 2 hrs having caught it really late in the free weekend, but I can say that the gameplay during the two hours is totally worth the money to buy it.

♥♥♥♥ I enjoyed:
-High replay value (each dungeon is generated differently every time you play it)
-Hero variety (the variety of heros in the game make it possible to form and fit many playstyles)
-Tower defence style gameplay (c'mon, who doesn't like a little tower defence)
-Game art (at first the dungeons are really uniform, but the further you go the more grotesque, and unique they start to look. I really dig it, kindof reminds me of the flood overgrowth in halo)

♥♥♥♥ that rustled me:
-There's a hero limit (I don't like limits, especially when it comes to troop size in games. I can however understand the need for a limit, I would just apreciate if it was more than 4)
-I don't currently have the money to buy the game (which is especially bothering considering the game is 50% off)

Bottom line, I liked it. And when I have enough money I'm going to come back and buy it. If you like pixelated tower defence-esque dungeon strategy games, then I highly recommend it.

I was tricked into buying this game, It's a worthless game that nobody should waste money on. It's graphics are too intense even on low, and every lobby is hacked, minecraft is a better zombie survival game than this.
